RE: FEJ Giant Hawk 1:3.5 Scale

Fantastic, now that's big Ali! The only toy hawk I ever flew had a prop at the front and was maybe a couple of decades ago [:'(]

I was wondering if they replicated any of the flight characteristics of the fullsize? Is a retrim (nose pitch down) required with the flap switch in the landing position?

Rob.

Hi

Happy New Year to all.

Maybe a 180 can do the job. Depends on the overall weight. Same lenght as SG ot TH and both can fly with 160.

Can they do it with same weight? Let's wait and see....I'll be looking closely;)

By the way, as FEJ improved their cockpits?

Regards

Nuno

Just how big are they going to get. looks nice but would have to rethink your transportation for one of those

Old Fly Eagle seem to have gotten back in vouge lately. They were not so popular a year or so ago. What has suddenly happened ?

I'm sure FEJ is THRILLED that you are soley responsible forsaving themfrom impending failure...

As usual never a missed opportunity to brag about yourself.

Hawk is real nice looking BTW.

FEJ has been at just about every major event flying the snot out of their planes. At BITW Skymaster was nowhere to be found... No promotion, no awareness.
Dantley,
Anton did sponsor an EDF F-15 to BITW, we auctioned it at the Banquet. Joe C!!!

RE: FEJ Giant Hawk 1:3.5 Scale

Hi,

I was interested in the FEJ hawk because of the scale 1:3.5 !!.
It would be an option to the Tomahawk Hawk 1:3.5.
But then i compared the datas and now i am afraid the FEJ Hawk is not 1:3.5 its more 1:3.8
The Original Hawk has a length of 11,90m an a wingspan of 9.4m. So the length in scale 1:3.5 should be 3.4m and a wingspan of 2,7m.
The FEJ is only 3.17m and windspan 2.53m so not 1:3.5 !!
Tomahawk design is selling the Hawk in scale 1:3.5 with a length of 3.4m and a winspan of 2.7m

So i think the FEJ Hawk seems to be smaller than they are selling it ?

kind regards
Andi

first videos just went live. This is the very first prototype to prove the design. The gear is from the smaller hawk and was only fitted in order to get the test flights done. I have asked the factory if it is possible to get a little bit of Dihedral.

Oh and out of interest. The turbine is an old ATJ pushing out around 15 kg of thrust!

Look like it flew very well indeed. Mind you why someone would testfly a white plane always concerns me. Even a few flashes of stick on colour would surely make seeing it easier

Regarding the turbine. Dont forget the finished model with the full sized gear, cockpit, paint and other scale bits will I am sure be at least 6 lb heavier

Any information on the price of this model?[8D]

Ali 01-08-2013 07:44 AM

RE: FEJ Giant Hawk 1:3.5 Scale

suggested retail is $5995.00 plus $295.00 for the fitted lights. Add to that the shipping which I am sure your FEJ dealer will be able to assist with
