Nice flying Andi. Did you install a gyro?

kasi122 08-13-2015 12:14 PM

Hi,
Yes, we use a Powerbox Igyro SRS :D

Dassaut 08-14-2015 01:44 PM

Igyro only on the Thrust Vector? or combines with surfaces? tryng to set one up, I need some advice

kasi122 08-15-2015 10:16 AM

Hi,

I (we) use the setup you can find in the manual from the CARF homepage. The only different we have is, that we use the vector in all flight modes and in flightmode 3D we have 90% on the gyro for the vector system.
The other settings you can take from the manual
best regards
Andreas

Here is a new video of my J-10 in flight from a couple of weeks ago at the crows event. Short interview and two flights, which was filmed by Walter. A link to his website is below as well. No smoke this outing. Hope you enjoy the video.

Yes it's small , but with FT220 I can fly between 6/7 minutes.
It's a really good plane.;)

Hello, anyone knows were this plywood covered in carbon piece goes?? I can find were in the manual or in the manual pictures...

Airforce7 10-23-2015 07:53 AM

This part stumped me for a while, but I ended up using it as the backstop for the main fuel tank and the smoke tank. If you take a look at the tanks they each have a step and when you put them in the fuselage near the main gear former you can see that this part sits nicely (overlaps) across the tanks. I drilled some holes in the part as well as the former to secure the part in place keeping the tanks from potentially sliding back towards the turbine. That's how I used this part in my J-10. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures I took and post them here later.

Main Tank Bracket Photos

Here are the photos. So what I ended up doing was mounting the bracket so that the main tank was secure from sliding back. The smoke tank doesn't need the bracket as it is secured using the plywood tabs and some screws. You could adjust it to capture both tanks, but I ended up just securing the main tank. The bracket also acts as an anti rotation beam which keeps the tank from rotating (moving side to side) during flight.

Are there any scale versions of the J-10 available similar in size to the Carf model?

Airforce7 10-25-2015 09:47 AM

Only ones I've seen were from FEJ. http://flyeaglejet.com/en/oJ10.html

I'm curious, with the jb220 being a shorter engine in length than the p180, why did the 3D mount need to be extended or is the jb220 actually longer than the p180.

I just purchased a j-10 and thinking of getting a jb220 for power but wanted to know if the mod is absolutely necessary in order to get the proper clearance to the tube or is the mod for another reason?

any explanation would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
