Hi Scott,
i don`t want to hijack your Thread so i will ask ..... is it ok for you when i post some pics of our build here ? I think its better to keep them together than open a second thread. kindly regards Steven |
Absolutely, feel free to post in this tread. We've done a fair amount of testing and flying on the model and have learned a lot about it. I will post an update regarding our experience this year in the next few weeks.
I think the most important things to consider are that the canopy needs reinforced and the listed CG was pretty nose heavy (and conservative). I started off with batteries in the nose but have since removed all nose weight and actually started moving the batteries back. Scott |

Aileron`s .....
If the ailerons are build with the from Paritech delivered parts, it looks like the next two pictures ..... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2130694http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2130695 It is a real big Plane and the Ailerons are 26mm thick in this area so i decided to do it another way. Interested! Maybe berthound can chime in. Im in USA. What was your price for standard kit, not all c/f, tanks, gear struts, wheels, brakes and 210 sized tailpipe? Basically complete kit and shipping charge? Nice looking jet and I assume paint scheme is included? Any help would be appreciated. Website a little confusing. Thanks whmc

Steven, Perfect.....Thank you. Emailed Vogelsang for more info! Have you been happy with the quality of the kit and landing gear? whmc
|
Hi WHMC,
the Kit is one of the best i have seen in the last 10 years. I run a custom build service and so i have seen a lot . Not comparable to some Chinese ARF`s i have on the workbench. The fuselage and the canopy are without visible seams. The overall quality is still perfect. The landing gear is simple outstanding ..... It is made by IQ Hammer here in Germany. Götz Vogelsang is a real stand up guy. You will not be disapointed to deal with him ;). If you want some close up`s from special parts pls let me know. |
Thankyou Sir. Are airlines 4mm to retracts?
|
Looks great!
Sorry for being absent, have been too busy in work and family to update thread but as winter closes in I should be able to find some time to get some pictures up. We ended up changing out the main strut legs to Behotec. The stock ones have so much flex that it made ground handling and steering unpredictable (catchy). The new struts seemed to improve this considerably. Our canopy also imploded during a knife edge pass at First in Flight. Paritech was quick to custom make an additional former and I increased the number of pins in the mounting system. Thus far, no further problems. Again pics will be up as soon as I can! |
Scott, I have sent to you a PM
BR Jesús A. Serrano |
Yep the airlines are 4mm.
The additional former Scott mentioned is now factory installed in the canopy and my landing gear looks a little bit different from Scott`s. It´s Air powered. |
Hi,
Just needed an opinion since looking for a large size sports jets. How do we compare Natrix with Futura 2.5 or Quantum Mono? Something with nice aerobatics without bad habits and slow flyer too for shorter runways. Plus whats the best, electric gears or the pneumatic for daily flying? Currently flying a kingcat and small futura and now thinking bigger |

Looks great! There is no lack of carbon in this model. It is a surprisingly big and light (!) model.
I pulled it out tonight to prepare for hopefully the first flying of the season later this week. I checked my CG and found it was at 385 at the end of last season. I adjusted my two RX packs to the back half of their respective trays and am now at 390 (see pic). I did a lot of experimentation on aileron differential last season and found that for the previous CG, high aileron was best at 24 mm up, 15 down. I run triple rates on the models and this was for the high rate. For elevator I run 13 mm high rate up, 10 mm middle rate up, and 7 mm low rate up. Rudder is max. Attached is a picture of the alternative struts. They improved ground handling considerably. As much as a pleasure as the model has been to fly it doesn't land as consistently as the 3.5 Viper or 2.5 Futura. Just seems to float on by. Ive added an airbrake function to test out and if that doesn't cut it may consider increasing flap throws.
