Nearly had one in my collection of toys, but discovered major damage to the model before taking it from the delivery truck. So still interested in this model, especially the new military paint scheme.
|
I do like that one too, just wish that the yellow will be changed to gray the full wings or maybe something like the f-100 Vietnam era green brown camouflage , this model will look great in all types of military paint jobs.
|
I have the new tank from Top Rc Models if you interested i can sell you this one $100.00. I'm using the kevlar we made in mine also

Is it available in Kevlar?

My new version has two fuel tanks the exact same line the picture, actually I wish they made those from plastic like jet legend jak 130 this thing is actually very fragile and very thin.

It flies great. Definitely needs a lot of Crow to slow it down with K260. Knife Edges quite well even at low speeds. Low and slow is quite predictable. No bad tendencies detected yet. must do's: Get flaps geometry correct for reliable flaps operation. If you use stock gear with stock Springs then do not modify them. |
Nice Jet. Sleek look and the scheme suits it well.
|
I think the problem with slowing down is that the cg is way too nose heavy, the manufacturers recommendations is 280mm from leading edge but it’s actually right in front of the wing tube at 13” from the edge, this military one flying good and slow down very well and landing slow with jet central mammoth

This is my with the same paint job, the cg is right in front of the wing tube, only two flights so far, the first with almost manufactured recommended cg and the second flight with 13” cg and the third will be with the cg right in front of the wing tube

Curious, how well would a 220 size powerplant fly this model? Planning to sell the airframe, so the 220 will need a new home.
|
Should be fine for regular sport flying, but most people after some time change it to 250-260 size motor, I’m doing ok with the p-200 even the motor have so problem to not reaching the maximum rpm to 112.000 it only goes to 109.000 and produce only about 205 Newton instead of 230n like the p-200sx should do , one guy flying this model with sw160 and he is doing very well maybe very light build?

So today some rear servo cables, I’m using high temperature resistant tube to cover the cables from possible heat from pipe if something happens at least this will help to have some extra time to maybe have the jet landing safely, maybe because I have seen some jets goes down because some of the cables got in contact with the pipe and the rest what happens you know,

Ebay has everything and so much different sizes

jeteye - what type of servo wiring are you using?
Any link to where you get those from? 22awg or 20 awg? Copper strand or steel? |
https://hobbyking.com/en_us/800mm-tw...-5pcs-bag.html most of them are from them with different length and 22 awg the price is right and I never have any problems with those
