So all the horn pockets needed to be enlarged and cleaned they smaller and shorter than the horns, very easily but still time consuming,so today all the horns are glued and the rudder hinges, next the servos.

Ok so wing servos today, so all the hardware are supplied are up to the number all is included and they fit perfectly just need to drilled some holes into the servo plates, so I知 using the industrial strength two faced tape to help me hold the servos in place when drilling and installing the screws plus this will make the servos to be more secure and stay there with more holding power.

Same control horn pocket issue on the odyssey.
sand the sides of the horn that goes into the pockets.

sysiek 02-23-2020 08:09 PM

Usually I知 using dremell to make the glued aides sanded so they could bite with the glue.

Today I was working on the elevators servos and I wish that the company did the cutting for the servo arms this will cut the build time and all the hassle with measurements where those cuts should go, but so far the building goes better than some skymaster stuff that I have before.

They don't do that cause depend on servo you plan to use

sysiek 02-25-2020 06:19 AM

That痴 possible, so the elevators servos are installed.

Does the plane have a flat finish?

sysiek 02-25-2020 11:14 AM

Yes flat clear coat, very nice finish, will post more pictures when the fuselage assembly

sysiek 03-01-2020 06:38 PM

Ok so this weekend, the fuselage is all together, the aluminum alignment tubes are glued to the rear section, and all the servos pushrods installed, the note please use the 3mm tap to re do the plastic ball connectors the almost impossible to do with just the pushrod, and use 3mm drill for all the glued horns maybe before glued them to the surfaces, the jets is actually very cool and is very compact the jet could be transported in two main elements back and bigger front with turbine and all the stuff to make it rtf the back will be just the rear fuselage with pipe and 3 servos cables for elevators and rudder, I知 planning to use the electrodynamics plug for 3 servos to make the separation much easier.

One problem I don稚 have a f-book, maybe you could post all the pictures right hire, this will be useful thanks again

sysiek 03-05-2020 08:41 PM

So today some rear servo cables, I知 using high temperature resistant tube to cover the cables from possible heat from pipe if something happens at least this will help to have some extra time to maybe have the jet landing safely, maybe because I have seen some jets goes down because some of the cables got in contact with the pipe and the rest what happens you know,

One small recommendation. Get yourself some step drills and then you can drill nice neat holes with no tear out on composite materials.

sysiek 03-06-2020 07:21 AM

This is how they did the holes not me , and I have some off those drills maybe I知 going to fix something or just use some send paper and paint to fix the openings

David Jackson 03-16-2020 05:02 PM

Any updates on the Voyager?

sysiek 03-16-2020 05:55 PM

Waiting for some fuel lines and some other stuff will go back to the jet soon, thanks for asking
