Aviation Design Diamond Assembly/Build Thread

I know this has been covered in a few threads but I figured I would start my own. Exciting day!

This is nice bird , do dibble horns on the elevators and make sure that the linkages are super secure don’t use the stock silver ones go bolted ones the original like to open or at least shrink wrap them bubble

Those are such cool looking airplanes!! Thanks for sharing your build thread!

Aluminum Servo mounts painted.
- Step 1, Clean.
- Step 2, 1 coat etching primer.
- Step 3, 2nd coat etching primer.
- Step 4, 1 coat paint.
- Step 5, 2nd Coat paint.
- Step 6, 1 coat clear coat.
- Step 7, 2nd coat of clear.

I try to watch the YouTube video but there so much commercials I turned off after the second one.

Just use a firefox browser download 2 extensions Adblock plus and ublock Origin (optional) and never see a YouTube ad again :)

Wish I had settings like these for my smart TVs. The commercials are horrible on YouTube.

Or the owner could setup his YouTube to non commercial one public and problem solved, you will not see commercials on my YouTube channel

Yea I was very close to ordering the Starwars Scheme! I Think that done up with the Pilot and R2D2 look great! I have also seen pics floating around of a custom painted sci-fi one a few years ago. That one looks great!

Added Hard points to all surfaces.
Opened up the access point, Installed horn and installed wood on both sides of the horn.
All glued with Hysol.

Man that elevator control horn was painful! Nice job getting it back out.

HAHA. Yea stupid mistake but great learning experience! Will never make that mistake again........I hope

No Hard points for any of the surfaces. I think many have successfully installed the horns with lots of glue and it's been fine but I feel better adding the hard points.
Now I know they are secure.

If you purchase this plane from Ultimate Jet's to my knowledge they add the hard points
