And now for what had to be the most EXTREME demo of the weekend.

If you have spent any amount of time at Markham Park, especially on a weekend you may have seen or heard of a guy who flies helicopters by the name of Elvis Leslie or just plain old ELVIS.

Now usually just about anytime E comes out to play, people stop what they are doing and gravitate to the heli area, primarily because E does'nt really fly a helicopter, its more like he puts it where ever he wants, sometimes several feet above the ground, most of the time......A FEW INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND. He has truly mastered the abilty to fly a helicopter in all axes imaginable (and some that aren't!) You really would have to see a video of what I am about to describe to believe it.(Thankfully I have a few hundred witnesses to back me up.) As Elvis was throwing this helicopter around, doing forward and backward flips literally the length of the helicopter above the ground and rolling it back and forth the height of the rotor disk above the runway............................................ .....

He blasted up vertically inverted and flipped into what he calls "The funnel" which basically is the helicopter going around in circles vertically with the tailboom facing the ground and slowly descending and tightning up as he goes around in 360s faster and faster.

As we all sat there speechless, he then started doing the's "Yo Yo's" first vertically then over the runway INVERTED! Each time stopping just inches above the ground before going back up a few feet then back down again literally at the speed you would bounce a ball. Just about the time we were all beginning to get goosebumps from watching how close he was coming to the ground. Elvis stabilized into a inverted nose-in hover about a foot above the runway.

What happened next is probably the most unreal thing I have or will ever see done with a model helicopter, Elvis slowly started descending from 1 foot to about 1 INCH! above the runway. That's right folks one inch inverted nose in, just about that time, I tapped J on the shoulder (he was talking as usual) and said "look at this *****!" And then, TAP, TAP, TAP, TAP! [X(] Yea, he touched the freakin runway with the blades! Holy...................AND LIFTED UP, FLIPPED OVER and landed! Talk about serious control. Elvis that was unreal. So you know we all had to go inspect.

[X(] damn!

Ok folks now this is a re-enactment but still..................GAAT DAMN! Notice in the background Eddie (tires eddie) is holding on to Elvis and hiding behind his shoulder, this is literally what he did when he was out standing next to E during that manuver, then he ran away about 20 feet. :D

After the noon time demos, it was back to flying, this usually meant the Studnick family was first out of the pits for the wild blue yonder. Shani flew literally just about non-stop, hotfueling and blasting off.

Here Ofek pushes the HotSpot up to the staging area for his brother Shani.

Mario with the high-alpha pass, the Skymaster Gripen appears to be the perfect jet for small fields with short runways as it is quite manuverable and slows down very nicely.

One must remember however, never to land and aircraft before it's time.

This the result of a rather firm landing and a bounce, (notice the gear).

I flew/bent the struts out of my Skymaster Gripen alright. Still learning to slow this bird down on landings without speedbrakes.
I Had a great time thanks to the 332nd staff, they did an outstanding job on putting this show on and thanks Bryce for entertaining us.
Looking foward to the 2nd annual Big Bird & Jet Fly-in.

I decided to break out the "Marshmallow" which is now offically 5 and a half years old.

I was'nt able to slow that F-5 down enough to hang with Johnny on those slow flybys so I figured this outta take care of that problem. ;)
