Kits will be available this summer.

And I thought this thread was 'wren 44 airframes' and not how much hawks there are for the wren 44.
SORRY for giving info[&:]

My mw44 (arriving tomorrow) will power my PJP Hawk!! Will let you know how it goes.

That plane is just a prototype...
Indeed that particular Hawk is only a prototype but production models are being produced as we speak. Fully moulded with honeycomb'd structure/wings, complete ducting made for 90mm EDF fans.
Should be ideal for the MW44

Chris

Thanks for the info on Daniel's newHawk. It looks like a very nice model and I assume will be ARTF unlike the PJP jets version.

I am currently flying an L39 and would like something different!

How can I get my hands on one of composit hawks. This will be for Wren 44 conversion. I saw the video of the electric and if there is room in the model for fuel and equipment could be ideal setup. Thanks Doug

Guys

Any of you looking for a sports model for your 44's could try this. I have just ordered one from Germany it's called the Jetco and is made by Paf- flugmodelle.de. Peter speaks excellent English and kits are in stock. Model is 60" wingspan with weight around 9/10lbs.
Looks a bit like a mini Bobcat. Wings are foam sheeted with obechi, composite booms / fuselage , room for a 1.5litre tank in fuz.

Cost is £270 or 390 euros including shipping to UK. Looks like good value, will report further when kit arrives.

Looks like the Lockheed T-33 from the same company, would be well suited as well for a wren44...

Does anyone know of a Mig29 kit that would be appropriate for the MW44?

Thanks.

Hal,

No I don't know any Mig29, but looks like a new Su27 just came out at grumania...

That's even better than the MiG! This looks like it is going to be a real winner!

I see in your other thread where you have listed the details. I am going to keep an eye on this. I hope someone will let us know how it flys.

Hal,

If you're really interested and if you're right and this plane is a winner,
then you should pop an Email to the manufacturer to book yours before the waiting list gets too big...

Yann

PS: How can a SU be better than a MIG !!! ;)

Yann

Thanks for the advice. Will do.

Actually the SU27 is probably not better than the MiG. I just like it better because it can do that crazy Cobra maneuver.

Hopefully, will do with the MW44 as well...
I was just kidding about MIG and SU... :)

Hate to burst your bubble ....................The Mig -29 will also do the Cobra.................................[8D]:D

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???

I'm not surprised that the MiG can do the Cobra maneuver. They are very similar looking airplanes. That is why I was interested in the MiG. I'm glad there are some new airframes for the 7lb. turbine. I think that size engine is really going to be perfect for a small field.

Will any other jet do the Cobra maneuver?

I think there are quite a few jets now for the wren44...
Cobra maneuver? Well I guess any jet can do it, it's just a matter of thrust...

If anyone is interested in the F20 Tigershark, this bird is available as a kit for the MW44 at:

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???

Aviation Design make a scale Mirage 2000 suitable for the MW44.
The basic kit costs 770 Euros.
A probes set, scale retract, cockpit, conformal kevlar tanks, wheels, brakes... are also available as options.
Eventhough this plane is well prefabricated, this is not an ARF.

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???

Has anyone received the Grumania SU27 for the MW44? I was wondering if he decided to put a cover over the engine. I like the plane but not with the exposed engine.

I have a F-100 kit from CJM, which I think would make a great candidate for the 44, do you guys know of anyone who has turbinized this cool looking little jet?
Tommy
