RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Looks nice James... a bit expensive though...
|
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
A nice F104 is now available for the wren44.
No rivets or panel lines engraved, but still a nice all GRP plane. http://www.rojets.com/f104.html looks even nicer with tip tanks... http://www.rojets.com/f104acc.html |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
we have just flown our 44 sized trainer if anybody is interested.

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???

|
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Yann, yes.

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Seems like a good value for the money. I think there was no real jet trainer of this size before...
|
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
And what about an F4 phantom ?

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
I believe the rafale from fly eagle would be well suited for the 44 gold.
http://www.flyeaglejet.com/Rafale.html It is aimed to end up around 13-14Lbs. |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Any thoughts on the BVM Electra?
Has anyone had there grubby mitts on one, and could testify as to whether it would be a suitable conversion? |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
1 Attachment(s)
The new FJ2 Navy Fury or F86 ARF from Jet Hangar.
I put an old beater WREN 44 Electric start (7lb thrust) and it works fine and move this babe at 150 MPH on straight run. 70% throttle at cruise. Gold version will work perfect. Mike |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Still from http://www.rojets.com/f20.html , an F20 will soon be available for the little Wren...
|
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Bringing this one back to the top.
Anyone know know of some new and exciting MW44 airframes (ARF)? |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
Boomerang Nano?
|
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
I'm aware of the nano, but not very exciting IMO...[:o]
What about the new Global Jet Club/ JHH F4D Skyray? Anyone got one yet?? Is it suited for the MW44? Would a late model 44 Gold be enough to power at JL/ GJC CT 114 Tutor if built as light as possible?? |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
I think the CT114 is too big for the Wren44. No way you can build it light enough.
The Skyray, is way too small... |
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
For twin Wren44, there is a Me262 somewhere, and an A10 here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_90..._1/key_/tm.htm
|
RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
I believe the news on the F-7 is a go anytime now.

RE: WREN 44-Airframes???
I would add the soon available eurofighter from Red Leader Composites.

Any new models for the 44
|
Not that I know of...
|
There is a new 90mm sport jet from black horse, that would be well suited to a 44. I've personally been flying a cheap CMP T-45 with a Wren 44 for a couple years. The wing isn't super strong... but it flies nice.

It wasn't Black horse.... it's was Phoenix. Here's a thread on it.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2118027 I was going to build one, and put my Wren in it... but I have 2 other projects on the bench right now, so I figure I would wait to see ho it's flying on 90mm EDF first. But the price is right... Under $500 shipped. But honestly... any good 90mm EDF model should be able to support the Wren 44. Just an FYI... The CARF Spark, and the little Scorpion have been discontinued. |
