I believe David Searles in CA ha one as well. Tom Vassilio in NY will have one today or tomorrow as the shipping was held up due to the holidays.

I may go for a second one after seeing the painted ones now available.

I think the guys are very busy between all the planes and orders but they will get back to you I'm sure. So far, the plane is definitely worth it. If it flies as good as I think, we definitely have a winner.

BTW, I think you are one of the guys that Dragged me in to the dark hole we call "jet pilots". Years ago, I saw you flying the Topgun Mig-29 at Superman and I just had to have it and ordered the next day. Loved that plane ....

Yes It was at the 1995 event, seems like such a long time ago in the jet world.The only turbine model around was Yellows twin F-18 "Big Red".

Well Tom got his F-4 yesterday and I did get a chance to look at it once he opened it last night. There are definitely some improvements over the pre-production model (mine). There is CF in the wings in the gear openings as well as CF mounts for the retracts etc. Pretty much all the stuff I had told them I'd like to see. Easy to do on mine but ofcourse much nicer when it is already done out of the box:D:D

Maybe Tom can post some pictures if he can stop drooling for a while :D:D

Hello Adil,

I flew F4 just before leaving for China. Sorry was 5am and could not find camera man that early in morning. The CG for 1st flight was set at 280mm as instructions. I normally do not use flaps for maiden and take-off roll was perfect. CG is spot on for maiden flight. I tried 3 CG posistions. And 290mm is safe and best for me.

Aileron roll is not as fast as delta type wings i have flown. This take some getting use to so i reduced 30% expo to 0%. Feels much more "allive" now.

Elevator with 2 x 8711 servo's is solid. Even at slow speed can flare very good for soft landings.

It is not an extremely fast jet, but rock solid stable. With P-160 and dual pipe it gives awesome sound it looks and sound like a beast! I never liked the F4 and always thought it will never fly good. I still have Y/A F4 not build because of complex looks. But now i am hooked on F4! Too bad it was sold the minute i landed! Now will have to wait some time for replacement because factory very busy and many delays with holidays!

Thanks for the update on the flight of the F-4. GREAT News!! Seems like we difinitely have a winner. I was pretty sure that it will not disappoint anybody :D:D.

Are all the other surface throws just per the instructions. Do you feel they were adequate for first flight?

Hi Adil,

Yes. Get the wheels away as soon as possible because a lot of drag. Closing throttle with wheels and flaps out slows her down fast. So do not get caught out. Glide is good.

I can't seem to find any website for this aircraft, which lets me buy one...:eek: It is good news that MNModels had a good experience with his first flight!

Now lets see if RAVjets can get his dirty little hands on one.....:D Wait, that's me!!

BTW, I've left Eric two messages in hawaii and I can't seem to get a hold of him. I know he's a busy guy and usually difficult to get a hold of, but he has posted on RCU recently..... Duke?
