Hey Mark
Yes, working long hours, but on the Roo, here I am back on line thanks to my good friend John who decided to let me use his old monitor.
John, Mark here are some of the pictures I have taken so far in the last week, lots of grinding, cutting and some more grinding.

Here you have the turbine electronics try, smoke oil tank ready just waiting for the pump and other stuff, the routing of the servo cables inside the fuse, the main tank 105oz. and the retracts, brakes, battery and fuel lines.

I just got home from the field, we did the taxi test and some of the set up on my Roo. When we turn the power on we had nothing, I scratch my head because just last night the radio system was working just fine but now, what the? [:@], then I remembered, my friend John had the same problem not to long ago, it was because the radio was transmitting on PPM (FM) not PCM, so we change it to PCM and, wala!! everything came back to life, the BVM brake valve was not working properly, the reason was that I had the airlines reversed , after they were swapped we had brakes, then the servo gave up, I guest I strip one of the gears, oh well better today than at the jet event, the fuel system worked just fine, fueling was good no leaks, the turbine was started and it became alive, no problems at all and no air baubles in the lines, the range check was really good, I installed a Dean's two part antenna and it is working fine so far, check out my turbine ON/OFF switch gard, you like, hu?.

Mark, John, Todd thank you for the help, so far I got about 5 guys involved in one way or another on this project helping me, thank you all, but the biggest thanks goes to the local guys.

All good things must come to an end and here we are at the end of my building thread for the Roo, it has been a very good experience for me and others I believe.
I has taken me one month to put this Roo together and honestly I didn't take any short cuts to get to this point, two good friends told me do it right, don't rush it and take your time, I'm glad I listened to them, thank you John, Mark and Todd.

Here I have the last pictures of the Roo on the final building hours ( so I thought ) also pictures of the set up and range check at the field after the jet event today, so you know, I spray the canopy and the white on the wings at the field during the jet event today.

The range check was done with the help of smooth flying Jake, Jake flys a king cat really smooth and precise and he is always ready to help, what a cool dud, best part is his knowledge, it is vast. We didn't encounter any problems here, we had a very satisfactory distance for both checks with the engine off and on.
Right after the checks I got ready for the first flight for the airplane and the first flight for me with a turbine, I was ready, very ready for it ,but a bit nervous as usual, we got the Roo ready and on the taxi way enrute to the TO point, got there turned around just ready to go, then some body put me on hold, a truck was been moved from the TO path, right, ready again and with all my friends looking and no wind to worry about off she went right on the middle of the runway, 200 feet and she was airborne, the climb out was good and with authority, Mark was right there giving me all the info that I needed, great job Mark supper dud, on the flight a little of left aileron and a little of up elevator and that was it she was flying smooth, the turbine worked flawlessly and throttle response is excellent almost no lag to worry about, after flying for about 6 minutes we started the landing by dropping the gear and flying the gear past another turn and then the approach, the landing approach was good and air speed good on final all good, over the runway she rotated to a nose high to bled the speed then on the runway with a little bounce then another small one then I new I had it so to show off in front of my friends I keep her rolling on the center of the runway with the nose up high all the way to the end of the runway, any way I had no brakes so she slowed down at the end on the grass and so this is the end of this thread for me, now go fly, fly, fly, fly.

Carlos,
Excellent job on this thread. We have talked a few times since you started this project, and I have always been impressed on your attention to detail, patience, and absolute focus on being savy with every last nut, bolt, and system in your plane. You are a great person, pilot, and storyteller. I am overjoyed about your successful flight yesterday, and cant wait to fly with you on my wing. Take care bud, and I will see you sooner then later.
Once again Congrats,
Dave

Now all I need now is one of Tam's smoke systems, the smoke oil tank is already installed just waiting for the pump and the rest of it.......................mmmmmmmmmm smoke, more new thoughts.

Thank you Enrique.
I actually used some info that came from you when you responded to a Roo question some time ago, it was regarding the CG. my Roo came out with the CG at the same position as your bird, so I didn't bother to add any weight, then I new my CG was ok and the Roo was going to fly good.

Thank you for the info. it helped a lot.

Congratulations on the maiden Carlos! I had to leave around 5:30pm on Saturday so I'm sorry I missed your flight. We all had a good time at the event. Did you fly anymore on Sunday? Hope to see you with the Roo at the next event!

John
Sorry man, I saw you early on Saturday and I was going to talk to you and the other Tam's jet guys but it just didn't happen the way I wanted, I was so busy getting the Roo ready for the maiden flight. I flew her on Sunday for one flight after that it got very windy, some one put in a Eurofighter on Sat. late afternoon we think it flew into the sun and lost orientation and on Sunday Chris's Bobcat hit the pits fence, the wind gusted when he was over the runway still in the air and slow, it suffered some damage on the nose but Chris will have it up and running probably by next weekend.
I will most likely see you in Fresno soon as I like to visit a friend there, we go flying at the filed for the weekend now end then.

OK, may be not the end after all, any ways, after flying the Roo for about four flights I decided to add some color to it 'cause it looks so like the others Roos out there, not mine, not any more.

Have a look

Flight report:
TO. are short for sure and you can actually use full elevator to TO without stalling the Roo, the Simjet 2300 sure has plenty of thrust to push the 24# Roo into the skys, The climb out is just rocket solid, flying is just awesome, throttle response is fast and she can be out in outer space in no time if you don't throttle back to stop the climb, on landing the Roo is very stable and I found out that it will glide with a tad of nose up all the way to the runway.
