Dave...congrats on the fantastic job! I didnt notice your plane being heavy from the video, no tiping of any kind, so what ever your setup, it looks great!
Cant wait for mine either!

No, but these were the models that were at the Comp ARF meeting and I know they were heavier-My model is the first production version flying.

You can have thrust without noise...maybe not in a small turbine, but that's my point.
I'll be interested on the final weight saving on your set up.

We fly off grass to-I only get tarmac once a month and jet meetings.

did you manage to weight the parts before assembly?
i was wondering the dry weight of the kit.
i was just reading the manual on c arf site.
and did not like the last comment on their manual.
well at least we can expect trouble coming..

No, mine came with the U/C installed to speed up the build-If one of my customers kits arrive in the next few days I could try and weigh some parts then...either way you cannot do anything about it!

true but it is nice to see if they have the same weight
in the psadst we had 3 eurosports build at the same time
and the weight difference was more then 1,5 kilos per kit
that is a big difference

My Flash has shipped!!! :D:D:D

I'll let you know how much it weighs when it gets here, but the one I picked up at the Liberty Bell Jet Rally seemed very light...

I got bumped too.... Think Im going to cancel my order. Seems like too much hassle involved in getting the aircraft AND gear. Ive heard of someone else finally getting the plane then waiting a month for the gear. Kind of depressed now :(

I got my gear before I got the airplane, so maybe it won't be that bad...

If someone can host the video for me then I can send it to them but in the meantime I will try and post it on youtube again.

Goekeli,

Just tried the link and it seems to be OK for me so perhaps you had a connection problem.

My Flash just left Grove City, OH on its way to Richmond :D

I hope I get the extra tank instead of the bypass - with a P-120, I won't need the bypass, but I will need the tank - and good eyesight! [8D]

Bob

Most all of the first kits shipped are with wing tank and no ducting.
The second batch arriving in europe in 10 days will be with ducting and no wing tank.
The Fuselage tank on the second batch is slightly longer than the earliest tanks to allow for single tank use on small turbines.

Dave

RE: Comp ARF Flash update

Thanks Dave, the extra tank is what I want and I don't think I need the ducting, so that's good. The larger fuse tank would be nice too though. However, with the P-120, I think I'm going to be at low throttle settings most of the time so 120 oz. should be fine...

Ghost rider

you need to lighten up a little
people who feel offended should not fly jets in the first place
it was clear it was a joke and something i am sure Dave can laugh about...

sandor out..

Let us not hijack this thread.

As a WREN rep, you should never make any sarcastic comments about JETCAT products. It is just that simple.

Thanks in advance for your understanding.

Ghost Rider

How come Dave was not picked up for calling the Wren SS noisy and possibly unsuitable for some flying sites? Is that not a biased comment regarding Wren from a Jetcat dealer? Or can Jetcat dealers get away with anything.?

No preferential treatment given to any body. If you find any rep or distributor making sarcastic comments about competitors product, please do not hesitate to vector it my way and I will personally take care of it or you can use the “report post to the mod” option.

Ben
