I don't know how long everyone else has been waiting on their Flash to be delivered. I was promised delivery in 4 to 8 weeks when I ordered mine. It is now 13 weeks & no sign of it yet.
Needless to say I will not be dealing with Composite ARF again. They need to get their act together.

Regards

Jim

Oh but Jim what if your Flash is the best flying Jet and you want another? I think they underestimated the amount of people willing to step into a jet of this size and type....therefore they are victums of there own success...

Not to mention ever since the release of this Flash they have been working overtime and at Max capacity to meet the demands world wide...give it a while and they will all be in stock and ready to ship.

They should not tell customers lies about delivery dates. They are quick to take your money under false pretences. I expect the jet to fly well, I have seen it.
They know nothing about customer service & I will be spending my modelling cash with companies I trust.

like it or not this product is a hot seller and you will have to wait your turn, and your turn is determined by the date your cash deposit is recieved, that and only that will lock you in for a plane.

Im wont get into a pissing contest with you on this subject, but feel free to express yourself to your sales rep, thats what he is there for not these Forums.

Composite ARF new very well how long it would take for my order to be filled when they gave me my "individual quotation". They knew very well that customers would not place orders if they knew how long the wait really would be.

Sorry if I have touched a raw nerve. I take it you have some connection to Composite ARF.

Edit:- They took the full amount, not a deposit.

Jim

My Flash is about finished and I have a question about what to do about antenna placement. I plan to install the receiver in the factory position and run the antenna down the inside of the fuesalage, is this a good plan?
Thanks
Marvin

RE: Flash Flew today

It looks like the same prices here, no change?

Marvin, when do you plan on making the maiden? Maybe I could come out the Prescott some day and watch you fly?

I was very lucky...
I ordered the BA Flash and had to pay 1390 euro, 2 weeks later the price of the Flash went up to 1540 euro!!!
Hmmm, I wonder how long I will have to wait.
At least I have a nice gear laying around waiting for a Flash!:)

RE: Flash Flew today

Guys

Price went up on the 1st Dec...
German vat increase will be absorbed by Comp ARF so no increase! Opps

Most deliverys take 6-8 weeks with my sales, much depends on scheme chosen.
Exact payment time also affects the delivery date-not the time you get the quote.

Dave. If deliveries take 6 to eight weeks & I have been waiting 13 weeks, something smells a bit fishy to me.
I think I have been bumped for my Flash & I don't like that.

Marvin ... there are two carbon fiber stripes down the sides of the fuselage and they may interfere with reception. I was able to get to minimum range check on my 10X of forty to fifty paces win the antenna enclosed in this manner. Running the antenna out into the wing will help somewhat, but to get really adequate range, use a deans antenna. It looks pretty good mounted right at the top of the fuselage at the back of the canopy, and the distance allowed for the antenna wire will serve this positioning well.

Jim, you might also give Ray Labonte a call if your local rep isn't helping for some reason. For sure go to your local guy first, but I have used Ray as a backup in the past and he is very helpful. Ray is the parts distribution center for all of the US for CARF, a full time hobby dealer, and a very helpful human being.

I have had to wait on all my CARF kits ... it just comes with the territory when you want a new hot item. Your color scheme selected may also have an impact. I beleive some schemes may be more popular than others, introducing another variable.

CARF does have a policy to charge your card for the whole amount and while I wish they wouldn't, I have gotten money back from them when necessary. I could be wrong, but I think most of the Asian companies are now asking for money up front.

Keith,
Thanks, that looks like the best solution. I did not want to use a Revolution and cut the wire to four inches and it would hard to find a place to mount it.

Marvin,

looks right at 200 miles, what is you runway like?

My Flash will be here this week, right after Christmas I will knock it out, maybe then I could bring her up with me and do some formation flying?

RE: Flash Flew today

I fly at the Chino Valley field, 700' paved with coarse asphalt, 4750' asl. Also fly at SpeedWorld with Terry Buckly and Chris Balling, let's get together and fly.
