Well it seems that it will be harder to find another twin jet than it is to get a turbine engine,anyone know of a source that still has TJ's available.Hey Craig Dyer it's great to here first hand of the reliability of this unit, as for the TJ elevons I framed them out with balsa and covered with 1 1/2oz glass and carbon vial it totally changed them incredible rigidity.Did the layup in a vacuum bagging system made for food storage called Reynolds Handi-vac it's great for small parts and cost in the states 10$ pump included,large bags are 10" 9/16x11" 1/2.Some pics of the elevons and stab after glassing.

hi there is there anyone out there that knows anyone that will sell me one of the funjet tanks that lambert makes as he has not replyed to any of my emails but anydealers out there or just anyone that can help

I found the best way to get a hold of Martin Lambert is to call him on the phone . He wasn't great at returning my mails either but I managed to get the engine and tank by calling him .

You're right, he prefers a lathe more than a PC-screen :D At the moment, he is abroad on holidays I've read on the German forum RC-Network.de Try his buddies Peter Drum or Thomas, one of them is in fact making the conformal cells for the foamies, excellent quality by the way. |

in regrads to the new version of the twin jet the funjet and now we are using this frame for the turbine what are we ment to do if we are uning air start not a auto start as the new ones lookm to me like you do not have any room to use the blower what do we do ? is there anyone out there that has done this conversion without the auto start

Hi All,
I am selling one of my three Lambert Autostart Kolibris, as I will no longer fly with the Falcon 25 (take-offs are too difficult on grass with the tiny wheels). The turbine set is in mint condition, about one year old, I made in total some seven (?) flights. Only thing which is not included is the GSU -I only have one, and I need it for the other motors-, but this can be easily purchased from Lambert or Digitech. My price is 2100 euro, PM me only if seriously interested. For 150 euro extra you get the Falcon with it, complete and ready to fly, but only without receiver, and it needs some repair at the balsa tail booms. Best Regards, Nicolas. |

Hello Chad!!! Can you tell me from your experience what would be a maximum weight for the plane alone that I can
consider putting a Kolibri on? I would like to put one of them on an L-39 Albatros... Now it dosen't have to be a Rocket Ship either... I have flown the Kolbri in a plane weighing 5.5 pounds (I can't remember if it was with or without fuel). It was the Bobcat 25 from Nitro Planes. That is about the limit I would go. It pushed it fine. Vertical was obviously not unlimited, but it was faster than scale speeds. That L-39 sounds pretty equivalent. They are a blast!

I am in the Med working and I was just reading up on the Twinjets and Funjets and all the foamies flying with Kolibris and now I am wondering can we fly them in the States... Chad I just subscribed to the waiver issue for the rudders, great reading... I will wait for further info... Yes just curious Chad even with the Falcon-25 with a turbine, it would need brakes to fly by the rules correct... Chad these rules all apply for flying at an AMA sanctioned field right... I mean I could fly a Twinjet with a Kolibri in the middle of nowhere for example right? The more you read sometimes the more you need to read... Thanks Again Chad Mojo |

Actually, I applied for, and received a change to the AMA rules regarding nano-turbine powered aircraft (Under 7.5 pounds). You can fly both the funjet/twinjet and bobcat 25 style aircraft with a Kolibri. After reading that it looks like happy days to to our friends in the US. Its about time some sanity prevailed regarding the restrictions on the foamy jets.....Looks like Martin lambert will be busyier than a one legged man in an arse kicking competition trying to keep up with orders.

I have a Wren 54 now on a test box that is a blast to run for people in the marinas that we stay in...My engine has never been airborne... I have a SAPAC L-39 here in my workshop too, and will install a Kolibri. The size is a bit bigger of the others I have been watching flying at the Kolibri meeting in Germany (I mean L-39's), which were small rockets but flew very well despite the size. The little bigger SAPAC L-39 would be just fine and better suited, although the wings are only about the size of the stab of my previous L-39 :D and I still have to get used to it every time I open the box. Martin Lambert has also the perfect short tailpipe for it. I got mine at his booth at JetPower but without any doubt this is available from Chad at SinCityJets. Happy to see the worldwide interest is now rapidly picking up ; Martin deserves it, after all these years of very hard work to create this superb jewel in all humble dignity. Nicolas. |

Access bay, from the bottom. All bulkheads and ductings were installed (for EDF use).
Also the SAPAC struts are very nice quality, which I will combine with the Digitech Jet 1A nano retracts. |

And here WAS SUPPOSED TO BE my TOP SECRET project for the Kolibri Meeting 2010 in Germany (now not anymore, hehehehe, because the plane is smaller than I expected [8D] ) : the X-Models 'Pushy Cat', for converting to Kolibri.
This is a very fast model for slope soaring and for use with a standard AXI brushless motor, APC 6x4, and 3S 3700 Lipo battery. In this configuration, it reaches already 220 KM/H (136,7 MPH) !!!
