i would think that an established club would be members of the AMA, and any damage would be covered. i'm new to this, and i'm not in the states right now, so i don't belong to the AMA. i don't know if they would cover that, but i thought that was what they are for.

I'd say since nothing but the plane was destroyed they're doing nothing.

If damage to something else would have occured they would have waited until the pilots home owners insurance paid their portion and THEN they would go to work to keep the claim they'd have to pay as low as possible.

Hey moron, did you know that the farmer was there before the RC place was there? As a matter of fact, that land was passed down to him by his parents. He's worked it his entire life. But he's also an engineer and probably smarter than any of you opinionated morons out there. He has more of a right to be where he is than all of you grown men playing with your big boy toys all day long. Maybe you should get you ducks in a row before you start sputtering crap out of your mouth. Get a life and find something useful to spend your money on. There are people all over the world dying b/c they don't have clean water to drink or the medical treatment they need to survive the flu. But who cares about that, huh, as long as you have your 12,000 dollar big boy toy to play with, all is right in the world.

Well, Since you decided to re-open this can of worms...........And apparently you have been responding to yourself, chew on this: From the info that you have supplied, this' "farmer" really hasn't accomplished much in life except to wait for his ancestors to die off and give him some land. He is so accomplished that he has nothing better to do with his time than sit in a pickup truck and stalk model airplane fliers. Why doesn't he donate his time to providing clean water to those in need? Since he seems to have a lot of spare time, I don't think that anyone would mind if he took a little sabbatical to some third world country to "help". This "engineer" is so smart that he chooses to take the law in his own hands and try to shoot a 30 lb "toy" out of the air and risk starting a grass fire or maybe worse while possibly understanding the consequences of his actions.......

So I guess that we can come to the conclusion from your information that he is not only a selfish free loader, but he is stupid as well, [:-]. But I think you probably know that already.
