Thanks Ali!
I used Promark on all:D my ARF jet models and Electric models without clear cote with a good result.
I'm surprised that it works so well!
But, you may just be a little careful with the kerosin.
I have flown my King Cat without clear cote in three seasons "without" any problems!

Lasse,

Have attached some pictures of my Bobcat comp fitted with 'Prolink' trailing link struts on the mains, really there is hardly any difference between the 'Prolink' and the 'BVM' Original ones regarding how much they retract into the wheel wells.

regards,

Alistair

Hi lasse
You sure do like your Pro Mark :D Oh and your Bvm models. I dont blame you. A great pair of products if there ever was one.!
Thanks for the advice, i think I might go for this on mine. I dont suppose you have a list of what sheets you used for your Bcat do you? Oh and any tips on how to apply would be very useful too. Thanks again.
Regards Al

Hej Lasse
I'm using the pro link as mains as well. Only disadvantage is that if retracts "bottoms" in a hard landing. Your gear doors will break at the "knee". Tried it........
I've now made a new set, shorter but wider.
Jet A-1 has a small trailing nose gear, that together with a small bushing that you make on your lathe, works beautifully. However requires a hole in the equipment board to accomodate the wheel in retracted pos.

Thanks for the tip!
Do you know if there is any difference between Bvms pro link system compared with the system you using?
I have ordered Bvms system and I think I will use the original nose gear!
Tomas!
What is your plans for jet meetings this summer?

Great idea, Simple Minds is definitely a bad CD!

Excellent cockpit...you molded the panel yourself. I'd enjoy hearing about how you did this.

Jim

Hej
I'm using the BVM Pro-Link too! But there is no trailing nose gear available, so you have to improvise. Therefore an A-1 oleo from Sandor that was modified to indentical lenght as the original BVM straight strut. Digitech item# j125.996 . I don't think the flexplates even notice the strain from a landing with this Pro-Link/A-1 gear set-up. I'd seriously would consider swapping that tiny bitty original, if flying on grass.
Your BC looks great! I'm missing though the working LED displays like in Tor's 1/6 F-16 cockpit;) I'm sure you could find something suitable to "pop" up on the screens......and I'm not thinking of radar scopes[8D]

Plans for summer, well it will be late decisions depending on work schedule. So nothing decided as of now.

Hi KC36330
Yes I am! And they are a little on the weak side if making a hard landing with a heavy BC as mine. I've changed them once.
I've a P120SE, all three original BVM tanks for fuel and an extra two Du-Bro (total24oz.)for smoke. T/O weight 31.7lbs.(14.4kg)

Hey Lasse,

Great building treat, I hope to see your Bobcat flying at Jets over Pampa in Belgium (July, 25 and 26th)

Ali!
Here is the list of the Pro marks products I used!

Pro Mark burnishing tool, Sport Jet Kit, Straight panel lines, Riverts standard gray.
Most important of all!
Wash the model properly with warm soap water before you apply the transfers
(The formwax must be removed from the fuselage)

Ali,
I have a super DVD! With instructions from Promark
Promark Tour! (Most Frequently Asked Questions)
But!
I think its best if I ask Jerry C, if it`s okay! If I publish the DVD at the Jet forum.

Thanks for a very nice meeting in 2008!

I think we can be about 5-10 "real "Swedish Wikings who will visit the Jets over Pampa 2009:D.

Thats great, thankyou Lasse.
Not washing the model would explain why my previous attempts at Pro mark on a composite model did not last too long!
Last question... How do you apply the panel lines?
I too will be at Pampa this year. Hopefully the rain wont!

I installed the FASST 2.4 Rx in the same exact location as siclick33 with no problem. It was the original location where the PCM Rx was placed.

Nice work Lasse !! I love my Bobcat, but it is my first jet :D

Where abouts in Stockholm do you fly? I lived on Riksten Golf Course for a year. I could see the clubhouse on the old airforce base from my room and used to fly there everyday with my Funtana pro. I just wish i had been flying jets when i was there, it was a great site to fly from.
