Great work! I've never seen anyone present a model from the ground up to the end like you have. You make it look easy dangit! And I know it isn't! Watching your work I feel like Antonio Salieri in Amadeus.

Thanx a lot guyshttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif

new posts after a long time:

After painting and polishing the canopy I finally made the mould. Actual I made it like
the moulds befor. The Only different is the Sphere.Tex fabric I put between the fibre glass
fabrics. I also did not use Poraver-pellets this time.

RE: 1 x MiG

Hey There!

I finished now the last part. For the Body-mold I made 3 parts. 2 for the upper side and 1 lower side.
As a matter of fact I used the same technique as I used to made the canopy-mold. Several layers of
fibre-grass and 1 layer of SphereTex fabric between.

Besides: This handsome guy on the shot is me(1,87m/ ~6ft )

Hey Rob,

I used Mirror Glaze 8 Wax

http://www.wpcp.com/images/other/Pro...ze%20Wax-8.jpg

Before opening the mold I glued drive-in nuts and pins on the edge. After opening the mold I saw everything being ok.
I think the first plane will be blue on top and white bottom.

Work goes on:

After painting the upper side darkblue und the bottom side white I laminate a fibreglas-balsa sandwitch into the mold
and put the molds into vakuum.

Hey there!

Today I tested first time if the equipment fits in the model. Later I will cut out fitting ribs.
The Test flight comes closer http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...ular_smile.gif

Nearly finished:

It took a few days to adapt the ribs to the aircraft. Yesterday I cut out an entire set and placed it into the body.

Hi folks,

I fixed the ribs yesterday and closed the mold after that. Luckily there
where no problems. As a matter of fact there are about 40 bolts and
I took a portable electric drill to screw them out

A few pix from Maiden. Everything was fine. The Orca does exactly what I want him to do in the air.

I am ready doing some tests with all kinds of settings and different CGs, now. It was all as I planed before.
At most I am glad about its neutral behaviour while flying on the side or on the back. While we were testing the
man on the pic flew, so that the video will be his fault. There fall about 20l of kerosene apar.

In the meantime I was maming 2 new fins.
It's one for acrobatic fly and one that looks fine.
