Some one needs to make a 10 lb. truck that can go 50 mph, handles like an 1/8th scale buggy and can still be jumped off a roof and not break. I guess even if they did most idiot MT drivers would find a way to break it.

PS I dont think my Maxx is a money pit. I spend money on it but not because it is broken. I usually am spending money to make it lighter or handle better (which is next to impossible, MT's handle like crap).
You should have been a carpenter. That first bit hit the nail on the head.
As for MT's handling like a slop bucket on wheels, it don't have to be that way. We have some great handling, very light Maxx production racers from Pro Hobby and the Bergonzoni unlimited handles real well also.

We had great good luck with them up here this year. One guy drives every lap like it's the last one and he's a plowboy to boot and his is still holding up very well. Of course when you look at what happened to them in Orlando at the Maxy's race I can see where folks could get the impression they were fragile.

All mts suck at handling lets see a mt beet my xxx-s g+ or any buggy or st. Mts are for crawling not speed but the worst mt is a stock clodbuster. if you think a maxx is not durable i saw a video of a stock clod that had rockits on it jump off a house. It shadered like a glass bottle getting hit with a shotgun.

Well in all honesty I don't have the right to state my worst MT opinion because I haven't driven them all. I do have the Tmaxx 2.5 tho... I think that the 2.5 engine is the most infuriating peice of crap!!
Nothing but problem after problem with it. I do like the truck tho. I like its design probably gonna drop a sirio 3.0 in it. Sadly I think i DO have 3 X what I paid for it in it. I found myself agreeing alot with TheMachine.

Yes I have. I asked because with the exception of the Pro Hobby Faze 5 and Bergonzoni unlimited MT's, I have yet to find a good handling MT either. Both of the above trucks are (rare) exceptions to the rule that MT's handle like a slop bucket on wheels. Both of these trucks turn well, fly great, and glide over the rough stuff. I've even seen a Faze 5 turn in laps times that were within a second of those turned by 4wd mod buggies. In fairness, it was on a postage stamp sized track but AMB does not lie and it was not simply a single good lap by the truck, it was running those times every heat.

The X-factor was an accident waiting to happen. Its a crawler(which handles like sh*t at high speeds and is weaker than normal). That truck never should have gotten a nitro power plant or high gearing. Its all wrong for that setup.

I have a Mammoth and a MGT both are great trucks and run like heck,I had a T-Maxx that I started out with and it was broken before I finished breaking in the motor after $300.00 to repair it I decided to move up so I got the MGT,kicks the crap out of the T-Maxx so decided to sell T-Maxx and get a Mammoth another great truck, thought about a Savage but that was as far as it went, just thought about it then got the Mammoth.I don't care about this Truggy crap it is a great running truck and has kicked the crap out of my buddy's Savage and the T-Maxx that I sold.MGT and Mammoth both run about the same when racing them.As for jumps Mammoth and MGT can make some jumps if you change shock oil and tighten up the springs on the shocks. As for worst monster truck I think that it is a matter of preference to the person who is going to buy the truck some people swear by a truck and others would not own the same truck if it was given to them,I personally like big trucks and big block engines. As for cost well if you have to ask how much then you cannot afford the truck and move to something that you can.

On second thought, I had a Black Foot once too. The thick plastic body weighed about a zillion pounds, and it was only 2WD. Didn't go fast enough to break. I chased a cat out of our yard with it once, and my little brother laughed so hard he pissed in his pants. That must have been about 17 years ago.

Calm down, they're only opinions. If someone is going to get mad over someones opinion then don't even start threads like these. Who cares what the worst monster truck is!? Your idea of a worst monster truck is probably different from everyone elses idea. Some or maybe most probably haven't even driven the trucks that they're bagging on.

I have had a maxx for a couple of years now, but I think it is a great truck. When I first started out driving it, I have to admit that it was a money pit because the front end broke alot. I purchased an aluminum skid plate, but it bent out of shape many times and I eventually tossed it. Finally one day, I reluctantly spent $50 on a titanium skidplate and most of my problems went away, it holds the front end together really well and is what I consider to be the best hop-up that I have purchased for my Maxx. It works so well because it comes up in front of the bumper and protects it, so the weak bumper set up won't break on impact. I actually went almost the whole summer without breaking a part, but unfortunately, my steering servo went and my maxx crashed into a curb a full speed, the screw heads broke off and I was unable to remove them from my bulkheads, so I ditched them. It held up really well though and I only had to replace the left bulkhead. I would recommend this hop-up to any Maxx owner who is looking to improve their truck's durability without spending a $1000.
