How is the quality of CEN's vehicles. They seem well priced if they are good quality. Has anyone checked out the Genesis 1/8 MT they are coming out with? It looks like a meanie.

CEN has superb quality except in the radio gear department- very cheap. Other than that the stock parts handle plenty of abuse. Cen MT2's are one of the few vehicles that do not require upgrades to be enjoyed.

Cen makes great products except for the radio gear as Pkvillager mentioned. i once drove my MT2 into a curb at 35mph and the curb won. but i only broke one diff cup which is a 6 dollar part. i didnt break any thing else which amazed me. any other truck and the entire front end would have been destroyed. like 100 - 150 in parts destroyed.

I think that every MT2 owner must go through that very same experience, 1st runaway=broken front drive cup= new radio and/or failsafe. My tmaxx took about $55 worth of damage in a similar crash.
I thought the drive cups were a weak point but I run a picco 26 and they dont even show signs of wear and that is under the punishment of more than double the stock HP...

nah that wouldn't have done much dmg to the savage either, or titan or anything thats of decent quality. Wouldn't have damaged my car at all, jus depends what you have.

They are a good company, and they make great rigs. I don't know about the radio problem first hand because I took everyones advise and replaced it right off the bat. One really good thing about Cen is their customer service, I have yet to call in and have a bad experience. I have been really happy with my truck so far, and am looking forward to all the fun I can have with it.

Maybe its just me, and maybe im just spoiled. But i really dont care what radio the truck comes with. I dont even own one, but the radio would never be a deciding factor for me. If you're gonna be in this hobby for a while, get a nice radio with at least a 3 model memory. AM radios suck anyway!

I emailed a hobby shop about the genesis and this was the reply.
The Genesis is currently scheduled for release in January of next year. We
will be one of the first distributors to get them. I expect that they may
be hard to get when they first come out so I would suggest getting on our
waitlist if you want one from the first shipment. Estimated street price is
between $450-$500.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I've got a CEN ATX 4WD Buggy. The thing absolutely rips around, it's super fast. I've also had very good experiences with their customer service. I had the "radio problems" and they sent me a new set of crystals (the same day I talked to them) and I've had no problems since.
