I know this much. I too own a Picco .26 Savage and 2 of my friends own the T-Maxx, One has a stock 2.5 and the other owns one with the 24/7 conversion. The Mammoth will walk away from all 3 trucks without even breaking a sweat. The gearing is such that it has tremendous speed but still has great low end.

ive never owned either of them, but if xtm's claim of 50mph+ is true, i'd choose the mammoth, but dont get me wrong, im a long time fan of AE!! The MGT is still a cool truck, but i like the mammoth two.

Hey SH Bya, I'm in Beaver Dam, where in Milwaukee are you? If you have an offroad track we can hit, I'll bring the .26 MGT over and I can get a Bohica Race Maxx with a 2.5 Sirio'd that really hauls on a track. No speed on that one though cause it's running lightweight and a single speed for the tracks. I'd love to see the mammoth run and get some real comparisons not like all the speculation given out on here.

From what I'v seen at a track this past week the MGT is a great truck out the box. The man driving it more then held his own. I believe he won and the only thing I noticed was a set of Pin spikes for traction on this slippery dirt track. His competition were T-maxx 2.5, savage, Dominator. The truck ran strong. I have yet to see the mammoth but it looks like a good race truck for sure.

I dont doubt that with the right gearing the t can be made to go faster. I was just trying to say we all know the t can hit speeds over 40 and I still walked away from my buddy. I dont have a radar gun so I was using our run to demonstrate that I was moving at a much faster rate of speed.

Well, I've had them both... The XTM is designed to impress newbs with "high top speed". The MGT 460 comes with a weaker engine, true but put in an equal engine and it will last 10-1 over the XTM. MGT is a quality peice. XTM is trashy flash that's geared for top speed... thats it.
