Mud took victim my first rc last month. It was a twin detonator all waterproofed. Took it through about a foot of water/mud and there was a weird short and the resistor on the msc lit up in flame.

i like mudding bro, dont feel bad dude, most people on this site arent like us, im into building scale custom 4x4's and trialing, and crawling, i havent gotten a chance too go mudding yet because this damn x factor has another problem every time i start the damn thing, when i had my electric 4x4's i went trailing and mudding all the time, especially completely submerged, whats your hobby man

Mudding always sounds like fun....Especially with my Genesis.....But man...LOL....The clean up looks like murder. LOL....I suppose i'll have to man up one day and then get ready to strip the truck and power wash it after.

Anything you guys do to make clean up easier besides coating your rides on WD-40???

take the elctronics out and hose her off dude, let her dry a minute and take some carb cleaner to the spots where dirt is, and wipe it off, after that whip out the aircompressor and dry her off, after that take a can off wd40 and coat it lightly and let it dry in the garage for about 2 hours, you should have a brand new looking ride

Don't laugh... how would a cen fun factor mt2 stand up to mud?

A stock CEN MT2 might break something because of the stress on the cvd's. But if it's modifed and the electronics are protected, it should do OK. I bought new shock towers that give me a little more lift, that would also help. Upgrade the motor to a .18 for about $35 to give it a little more power.

What would break first, custom chassis clod or mt2 in mud

i dont think either would break, i think they would both get stuck, the clod might do okay because of the responive motors, nitro motor take a little bit to get torque, electric will put out all of their power the second you touch that throttle,

just depends on how deep the mud is

What .18 is 35?

CEN Racing makes a .18 motor that uses the same block as the stock NT-16 motor. You purchase the piston, cylinder and rod for that motor and install it into your stock NT-16 motor. I did it to my son's ATX, but my MT2 is still stock. It's not as powerful as the OS .18 motor, but a definite step up from the NT-16. All the part numbers are in the CEN Racing forum. I do not have them in front of me or I would post them. It was $35 shipped from Ehobbies for the parts.

siund hard, i'd bet i'd mess it up.

It's really not that hard to do. But, I think the piston is a pretty soft aluminum and would probably ding up pretty easy.
