Ok yell at me now for not doing a search. I want to build a ramp for the back yard for some Revo bash fun. Can some of you all post the plans you used to build yours to help me make a decision on what would be best for me. Thanks.
hey,
i took my daughter to Toys r Us today, and i saw this ramp there for $29. light weight, and very sturdy... easy as anything to transport. even fit in the trunk of my wife's Dodge Neon

i'll try it out tomorrow..

...jumps r not high...
That's because you're not using it right.

ive 1 like this and i cant fit in trunk in impala ( maybe my subs r taking to much space) and its to low so jumps r not high and to find anything to put under and make it higher is really hard to be stable if i find something, but im going 1 place and im making ramp out of plywood just full size 8x4 plywood na just anything to make stand mayhem is flying like 50 yards and like 8 feet high so its nice
hey spin,
i didn't run the truck today, but i put the ramp on the lip of the curb, so it increased the height, and was pretty stable.

i was looking for convience, and a decent jump. for $30 and zero effort, i think its a steal.

my brother was skateboarding off it today, so it should handle my R'C stuff like nothing.

you in Manhattan? there's a track being built right off the NJ turnpike, i believe exit 9.

When i was lookingg for a ramp i was looking for a couple of things. Slope, Easy to move, durability, and adjustability. I found the fold up chairs to do all that. They are very stable, very durable, easy to move (any weight like 5 punds), and you can adjust it from 6''- 3' and with that it changes the slope. The only problem i though it was going to have were the little hole i the folding part but my revo just flys up it. I guess the tires are big enough so roll over and not fall throw. So the chairs really don't have a bad side!
you're my hero, this is the best, easiest, cheapest, most portable, big air ramp idea ever. thank you.

i went camping and brought the chairs and it attracted quite a croud.

I just built the RCCA ramp today, I used 25/32" 4' X 8' plywood as to eliminate the flex problems that occur with the thinner ply's. I can increase the height thanks to placing hooks on the chain ends and screws at various points on the side, I recommend that you use a thicker type chain than they state, the small links will stretch then bend, I found that out the hard way. All in all it only set me back $26 at Lowes and they did the cutting for me. It folds up in no time and is pretty portable, any one with no mechanical or carpentry skills can make this ramp, you can go cheaper with the thinner wood, but the wood was only $20 and the rest just added up with 2 bucks here, .60 cents there, you know, but all in all, it's nice, hope to use it tomorrow and I will post some pics.

Im working on a simple ramp; I have some thin aluminum sheeting laying around that I think will be suitable for the surface. going with a curved ramp layout; about 24tall, 36 long. hopefully final cost will be 0 and Ill get some scrap wood out of the workshop at the same time.

i built the one showed in rcca and it works great. ther materals will cost about $25 (depending on which grade of ply you use)

1. you will need: a 4X8 foot of .5 inch peice of ply, two metal hinges, 6 feet total of small link chain, wood screws

2. cut the ply in half

3. install the hinges

4. the length of the chain will determine how steep the ramp will be. use a wood screw on each side of the ramp to attach the chain to the sides of the faces

now go BASH!!!

ok heres my fix for the BIG AIR i use a fold up table small and square about 3ft wide i pull out 2 of the legs set the table where i want to jump (or what i want to jump) the to soften the sudden change in slope i use a cardboard box folded flat and lay it with the center of the box on the base of the slope i can do a double easy and get somewhere around 6-10 ft. of air its a sight to see try for yourself if uve got the balls the longer the table the less the air but the more control due to the less sudon slope change

Yes, I do jump the Nemesis, and yes the axles are the fragile part of them, but CEN has now upgraded them to be stronger, I will see as I just broke my last set of old and am going with the new. Do I have pics, no, not just yet, but once I do I will post them for all to see. This Nemi really reminds me of my Savage as far a durability goes, I for one am convinced that CEN is on to something with these trucks, it truly doesn't get the credit it deserves. Too, CEN's customer support has been great, they recognized the problem and fixed it, all I have to do is mail in my bad parts, referring to the axles here, and they will replace them. I don't bother with my other trucks anymore. The plastics are really good to I have yet to break any of them and they have taken some major punishment too. And there isn't really nothing to upgrade on them, it has all metal gearing including the SG's on it, F/C/R all aluminum 6 gear diff's, pretty strong servos, PB shocks, CVD's, and aluminum skids. I couldnt' think of anything more I would want aside from those darned axles being stronger, which they did, so what more could I ask for?.
