I am running a stock motor with 13/87 and it still wont wheelie from a stand still. What spur are you using?Maybe add a little weight to the front end,and then it wont flip over? If youve tried all kinds of gearing, then i dont know what you could do.

I am not posative with out looking but I think i am running a 74 or78 tooth spur. I can't seem to find that happy medium. It is either all lowend or all high end. I have tried pinions from 13 to38. Hope this helps you with wanting to wheelie..

Thats just wierd
. I dont know why you couldnt find a happy medium because i would think one of those gears would make it a good happy medium. If you have a slipper clutch, loosen it,and then it shouldnt do wheelies, and youll still have good speed. When i said stock motor,i meant the 20 turn stinger. Is that what motor you was talking about?

I dont know how many turns my motors are i just buy 24 degree timing stock motors. I like them better because they go pretty fast and don't eat batteries. I have a custom built racer that i run a stock motor in and it will pull the front wheels and still goes almost 40mph thats why this stampede is bothering me. I have even used the gears and motor from it on my stampede and it still doesn't do good. I have also played with the clutch and again no luck..

I can loosen my clutch up to where my truck wont even move,so i dont see how you cant have any luck adjusting it.Are you sure your turning the nut the right way to loosen it?Maybe you should take the clutch apart and check the little pegs in there to make sure they are in the slots right, and not jammed around where it wont let it slip.

When I adjust the clutch it all works ok but I don't like to let it slip a whole lot. It just seems to me the more it slips the faster it wears out. I have a lot of money in my other stuff and this one is my play toy. It is the one I ramp and run over stuff with. It runs ok but when compared to my other stuff it just doesn't seem to run right.

I wouldnt worry to much about letting it slip because all that can really wear out is the little pegs which im sure would be cheap,or the slipper plates, but i would think they would wear the pegs out before they wear out,and i wouldnt think they would be too expensive anyway. The manual says to let the slipper slip for 2 feet from a stand still when you take off wide open.
