Default question about which way to set drill to start engine

I just got an adapter so I can start my maxx with at drill. Problem is I dont know which way (clockwise or counter) to set the drill to start the thing. Is it extrmely bad to try to start it the wrong way?
Thanks

The one-way bearing will only catch one-way. Put it on the shaft and spin it, it will only turn over the engine one way. It should be clockwise.
