i need to unglue my one tire so i can reglue it.....(for my jato3.3) but i have heard i can put it in boiling water.........will that hurt the rim......plz let me know thnx

The only thing that will happen to the rim is that it will change color. If its white plastic it'll get yellowish and if its chrome it will turn greyish.

If you're not intending to take the tire and foam completely off to dry do not boil them. Instead heat an oven to 400 degrees, turn it off and put the tire in until the oven cools. You should be able to get the tire off then. Boilg will work too but it's hard to work with a wheel full of very hot water and everything needs to dry completely before regluing it.

ok..thnx.........i might just wait and reglue them......cause im getting new ones.......and im going to get some CA glue tonight from my LHS

Acetone will break down CA, as will heat. Boiling works fine, but it usually toasts the foam. I haven't tried the oven method, so I can't say on the foams for that. I've seen some gel acetone somewhere before, I will see if I can find it again. Seems to me it was marketed specifically for r/c tire removal, but I could be wrong. Maybe someone else on here knows/remembers what I am talking about,
