RE: Factory Tracks Raceway MT racers
Awesome, more sweet pics! This whole forum thing is gonna take some getting used to now. I have my new puter setup, with a 24 inch wide screen monitor. Lovin it!!!! I've still gotta get my old one set back up, and move some files over. But this new system is sick.

Thanks.
Well if you are REALLY bored, then you can check out all my sets:

Tom, I think I have your truggy set pretty much complete, all others you will have to do some searching!
I had my water heater break and now I have a basement full of wet carpet, boxes, etc to clean up. So I hope you understand I don't have time for this right now. I will finish it, but think it will be a week before all is complete.
Also remember, anyone can buy any picture to help Terry's family. The details on in my post on the other forum. Thanks!!

Nice pics Bat! Must be a really nice camera.
See the link for the press release on the SC8. Theres a pic of a few CORR drivers holding them. They are huge! The scale and realism is nice! Due out in October - I'm already stashing away my pennies

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention that I read Castor Racing put out teaser on their CORR Truck. This class may take off in a big way.

That SC8 does look really nice. I see they show the MAP pricing at 699. Wonder what street price will be. If the class takes off, i'll likely end up with a slayer.

Ya, those SC8s look nice, but if I jump into the CORR truck thing, it'll probably be with a Slash. Though I'm tempted to get a Rustler VXL instead.

I asked Ed about that map pricing. He says map is usually about 10% over street. So hes saying about 70 bucks lower than that, on the SC8. I'd definitely be going the Slayer route. Brian, those VXL rustlers are very nice. A friend of mine has one for his son, and its awesome. Very fast, and appears to handle really well. I've been tempted to get one myself, just to switch things up a bit. Just out of curiousity, how many of you guys are gonna race MT this fall/winter at FTR?

I guess that price on the SC8 is to be expected with it being based on the RC8T. A guy I work with has a VXL Rusty. It seems to have decent speed even with a 6-cell pack. As for this fall/winter...I'd like to get out there every chance I can, but that's usually only once a month. Really Saturday's would be better for me, I've debated bombing around with the Rustler if that can get me down there more often.

I plan to race once a month and trophy races. Just too expensive to race every weekend again. Plus it ties up allot of time. We will all need to get on the same schedule so we have people to race.

WOW, sucks to hear that news. I expected Brian to race once a month, but not the bat. I already know Jake has mentioned every other week, or even worse. Im real tempted to cancel that MFR order now... Just seems racing is really dying, especially here in Michigan. Anyone else racing, or not racing this winter at FTR?

Assuming I'm still employed in the area. Starting to look for out of state work. Apparently my life in the big mitten was shorter than I thought.
It sucks, but I mean...It costs me atleast 12 bucks just getting to/from the track. Probably every other weeked, but I agree with above, if we organize a bit, so we're atleast up there on the same days.

RE: Factory Tracks Raceway MT racers
Well, im still going to try and get there every weekend. I really enjoy racing indoors over the fall and winter, so im going to try and be there as often as possible. Im sure we'll all cross paths at some time. But be sure to post what weekends you guys are going, when the time rolls around. So anyway, i just went cruising in the WRX with the wifey and daughter. That DB track was just hoppin with bashers. Im always amazed at the numbers that gather there, just to run their cars n' trucks in an open area. I think i'll head out there next weekend with some MT's, run some fuel thru em. Its too bad that drivers stand is still blocked off.... With the racing being soo dead, i really need to find some good bashing spots again. All my old spots are gone.

Rccheech, i'll know for sure if and when im going a little later this week. But i'd definitely like to meet up with ya there, and do some bashin. Ametek, its on hinesdrive west of haggerty. If you take Haggerty to Hines, travel west on Hines. The park will be on the north side, just past where plymouth road passes over Hines. You cant miss the drivers stand.

Oh, and RCcheech, here are the photos i was telling you about. Ghost flames, and true flames.
Ghost. Only seen in certain light angles. I used to do this scheme for Don Elliot before he moved to NC.
And this would be the true, or sometimes called natural flames look. That blue flame is done best when backed with that blue (nightmare blue). Thats probably the best true flame job i've ever done.
