starter boxes don't work with the t-maxx. You could get a pullstarter for it instead of the auto start. EZ start is the easiest way to start it...why would you want another way to start it?

when i bought a traxxas is a few years ago the original ez-start was a piece of crap.
i took it off after like day 2 and put a pulls tart on it and have used the same one since.
i heard the ez-start 2 is better but until i see/own one i would say just get the pull start.

I dont know. I'm not much of a fan of pull starting a .21 lol
Btw..
How in the hell do you start a sirio if not a pull start?
Those things have so much compression you'd better have a few spare hands standing by. I was pretty sure they dont come with a pull start.

I thought you can start a sirio with the ez start. It's a direct fit if i'm not wrong.
1. electric start (ez start)
2. pull start
3. drill start
4. starter box
What works best for the sirio and/or other engines?

then it will start
After you break it in it wont be a problem.I had the same problem with the ez start and the new siro. I also decided to replace the ez start with a pull start.
this sirio runs much more reliably and starts very easily compared to the 2.5. ill try .21 conversion after this motor i think. what is the best overall .21 for t maxx ?

EZ Start works fine with the Siro after the engine loosens a bit.
As i said before use a heat gun or hair dryer before break in.
After you get it out to the track setting it in the sun should be enough to get it started with the EZ start.
The pull start wont work on a new sirio either unless u heat up the block first.

for a stock engine and should work fine for the Siro but if you don't like using the EZ start system you can buy a special shock tower from New Era and then you can use a "Yank eliminator" with a cordless drill. I made one out od a socket and one-way bearing with and extension. and it works great on my .21 and .25!
