How used is it? Things you should do to it when it arrives.

TAKE IT APART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And check for missing screws.
CHeck all the gears, and make sure they are in good shape and greased correctly. Make sure the shocks are full of fluid and work properly.

Take the engine apart and clean it well with some carb cleaner, and a air hose if available.

Once the truck is back together, stick some new fuel line on it with a fuel filter. Set all the carb needles back to factory, and start like you are breaking it in but skip every other tank until you get it tuned for your area. These are just a few things I do when I buy a used car. This saves alot of frustration later on!!

Now if its a new truck, break it in per the manuals instructions, and have a blast!! Later

adeoliver,
Thanks for the info and the tips. It has just little over 1qrt of fuel threw it he said. Everything looks good, tires arent worn down any, the truck looks clean like a NIB.

Like I said ill say more when it gets here.

as long as your not trying to race or nothing, a pull start can be nice, easy, no batteries or nothing to fool with...

What does racing have to do w/ a pullstart?
If anything a PS would be better because it's lighter.

its easier to start up with electric start, and ussually quicker i'd think... if your truck shuts off on the track, i'd be easier with a elec. starter to start it up, even tho your screwed anyways

LOL an electric start is worthless on a race truck. If it dies, your out of the game, and need to learn how to tune the engine, or put a new one in it!! The thing about racing is power to weight ratio, and most of all driver abilities. I would take a pull start over an electric start any day of the week. :stupid:

the 21BB sucks?

Mine starts soo easy! I broke in the savage and then tuned it and drove it some more and I have not a single blister and the thing starts easy and never dies or bogs. I got the engin pretty tuned in a couple minutes, and It will hit 2nd gear now. This is a hard engin to tune? I thought it was supposed to be one of the easiest ones?
