So, I've been doing lots of driving today in an area with lots of dirt. Been doing lots of doghnuts and jumps off of a pile of loose dirt. Needless to say my MT is quite dirty. I'm kinda new and have yet to feel like i needed to know how to clean the thing. UNTIL NOW. I have two questions. 1. how do I get the dirt and soot out of the spot the glow plug is.. and 2. how often and how do you clean the air filter?

If it's really dirty it's best to clean the Air filter after every run. I normally keep two around. That way when I'm done bashing/racing all I have to do is swap them out and the truck will be ready for the next run. The best way to get dirt out from around the head is a toothbrush, q-tips, straw or a small stick and a rag. It's easiest to blow out the parts you can and wipe down the other parts with a damp cloth. As long as your electronics and engine/motor are kept dry, you can also use a squirt bottle with water in it to get to the hard to reach areas. Just take your time and be careful where the water goes.
