Perry pump and tuned pipe??
I was thinking of buying a perry pump on ebay for about 20 bucks and mount it on my 2.5 maxx. But I am not sure if its a good idea and wanted to know if somone has used the pump on a 2.5.
And what the results were.
Also, if I install the pump will I need a tuned pipe(since I don't need any back preasure for the fuel tank anymore)?
Instead can I just run a copper pipe to the rear end as an exhaust pipe? I know it will be loud but I can try making a silencer.

Perry pump and tuned pipe??
You will still need a tuned pipe because it produces power and it gives your engine more life (versus no pipe) so YES, you do need a pipe still. There is a thread, here's a link -

I still don't understand why the tuned pipe is needed.
In what way doese it produce power? Isn't it that less preasure on the exhaust of the engine produces more power because is doesn't have a hard time exiting the burned fuel?
