Most of the trucks weight is the axles and tires... as in unsprung weight, and you are transferring even more weight from the frame to the axles by relocating the steering servo(s). I think it's going to be too bouncy with the shocks standing straight up like that, especially with those stock springs.

Thanks guys, I was just playin with the ideas on how i might do the setup.

you should stretch it out a bit more but keep it as high as it is so tyhe wheels dont look so close to gether

Well i was playin with paint and i finshed wat the extession would look like! The stock mounts are way to fat, But the engine looks good in the truck. |

Kyosho sucks all around in terms of support and distribution. It just goes to show you that they don't understand their market, at least here in the US. The Force trucks are a lot of fun. I am still wary about the DF Giga Crusher I just bought. I can't get crazy with it, because parts availability is NILL. You do a search on eBay, and there is 1, count it 1 Giga Crusher auction! I was happy to see a Giga Crusher DF limited or SE at an expo somewhere recently.
Kyosho needs to renogotiate with Tower Hobbies (or Great Planes I guess). There, I said it. I have to imagine that Kyosho has seen a negative impact after pulling out of the distribution channel. I love and hate Kyosho. Cool product, good quality, but HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE distribution which equals expensive and limited part support. If it wasn't for their 1/8 buggies, I don't think they would get much love at all. I hope Gil can get Kyosho plugged back in to the market here, because I do like Kyosho and always have. That Monster Vette christmas present 20 years ago is STILL one of my favorite gifts ever. |

Dale...did you ever notice that even when GPMD and Kyosho were together, you STILL couldn't get jack from Kyosho? at least now you can get anything you want, direct from Kyosho or your LHS that deals with Kyosho America.
I think GPMD decided against carrying against their "oddball" products, and stuck with the buggies, on road cars, and just thought "NOBODY wants a nitro blizzard!" I can't tell you how many times I've had a hankerin for a new toy with money burnin a hole in my pocket, and just wanted the hell out of a nitro blizzard...but I couldn't get one[:@] You think with Gil's contacts at Horizon maybe they'll pick up distributorship for Kyosho?[&:] |
