Default Flight Simulators Programs

Help! My dad is 87 years old and has always been fascinated with flying. When he turned 80 he sold all his motorcycles and started buying park flyers (he must have 20 different planes) and most of them are hanging from his dining room ceiling because they are too hammered to fly. He called last week to tell me about the two new planes he'd just bought, so I decided before he spends my entire inheritance on replacement planes trying to learn how to fly well enough to keep his planes intact for more than a few flights, maybe I'd set him up with a flight simulator. I've started to do some research and it seems that the top seller is the Great Planes Real Flight G series, but I've also seen some opinions that the Reflex XRT is the one to have. My goal is to give him realistic feeling controls so he can develope the subtles of flying. (He has never had a flight long enough to wear out a battery pack, so that is the big goal.) He has a pretty nice HiTec Laser 4 transmitter that I'd like him be able to use with the simulator. I have a Windows 2000 Dell computer that I will set up to be his dedicated simulator computer, so all I need is the program. Please give me some knowledgable advice before I go out and spend $100's on a less than realistic program. Thanks for you help!

This part of the forum is for R/C motorbikes.

Beats me why you're asking here about flight simulators.

Sorry bikers, it appears I posted my question in the wrong forum. If you haven't already figured it out, I'm new at this.
