Hi Fred,
First thing I have done is, replace the metal crashbars with nylon 5mm.
Next will be to change the tyres to PMT200's and should be good to go.

I get my tyres from a UK shop.

But am sure you get them from

In the states....
EDIT:
With the PMT tyres, you also need the inserts.... forgot to mention that.
Hope that helps and have fun,
Drew

Check the rear shock bladder, often chewed up on assembley.
Softer spring and thinner shock oil.
Fit a fuel filter with a fine mesh, not one of those with a disc of brass gauze in.
Buy aftermarket air filter or keep repairing the standard one when the foam comes off.
Plug the filler pipe after filling the tank.
Better tyres once you've learned to drive it,the stock tyres are okay if you're only bashing.
Don't run it without the bodywork on,you'll just bend and break things, the bodywork protects the frame a lot.

Thanks for all the info. I've been doing a lot of reading on here.... shame there's no tracks to run it on here in Orlando. Are forks and steering mods really necessary? Although I'll be running it mostly by myself, I'd like to get the most out of the bike. Again, thanks!
