We are planning on releasing the VMX 450 in December still.
Here are some photos of the chassis with the Supermoto SMR racing tires and the disk brake kit installed.
If you look closely you can see the "A" insert in the chassis for the MTCS system. Up front you can see the front axle is hollow like full scale bikes. The rear shock is pretty large and the chassis has several adjustments for it. The scale radiator shrouds protect the ESC from direct hits by rocks and desbris but allow cool air to pass, also full scale inspired.
The disc brake kit is fully incorporated into the chassis so there are no modifications and the 2.4Ghz 3 channel RTR radio system is already equiped with 3rd channel mixing for brake bias adjustment.

At this point I'm very impressed with the pics and the R&D that seems to have gone into this bike. I knew it was going to take many more months than the original anticipated release date(s). My guess is it still won't be this year[].
So all we can hope for is a HAPPY NEW YEAR [8D]

$10 says your right....the bike looks fantastic none the less...only thing that really bugs me are the black mag wheels........I have 3 ricky carmichaels(2 parts bikes and one fully tricked out)and the one thing they still have over any other rc dirtbike(including the VMX)is the transparent wheels with the spokes painted on....not perfect but looks much morelike a real dirtbike then the black mags.......but I guess its a small price to pay for thethe quality.....

Santa are you listening!!!!!!!!!!!
Time for another garage sale of RC to get this bike. We have a large race scheduled for this Sunday and these would have made a huge immpression on the locals. I am runnng my GPV-1 as an exibition class with two other fellow bikers. The price of the these will not detere as an 1/8 scale electric buggy is more.
Cheers Chris on bringing your passion to life!!!!!!!!!!!!

Superb! It really does take the rough stuff brilliantly. Is the set up in the video as it comes to the customer? as the perfomance looks great.

When is it available in the UK?

Nice one!

Thanks, yes its truly a passion for me, glad you guys like what you see. I hope you will have the chance to enjoy it in person soon!

The bike is as stock as you will recieve it as seen in the videos. Not one modification or alteration was done. Your bike will do what you see in the video no problem.

I dont have an estimated delivery date for the UK but we will try to make it happen within a very short window of time from release to availibility in your area.

More to come! We do have a kit planned as well just so you know on here as well, its been said on Facebook and RCG. I can confirm that. Details however are secret at this time.

what batteries were you using for testing?
We used our car lipo pack, 2S 30C 5000mah the green pack, we see run times in excess of 10min and up to about 15min depending on how you drive it.
At a minimum Id say you can run a 2S 20C 3200mah pack if you have one laying around but for the best performance use a higher C rated pack with high capacity.
The battery compartment is actually pretty big and there are spacers included to shim the pack in place if needed. You will have a lot of room to play with different packs for sure.

Are there different versions of the bike, I was looking on Towerhobbies and it shows one with a 3000 mAh NiMH battery included.   On the Venom website it says no battery, and  only Lipo batterys are recommended,  Just wondered what was up.

Towers info is not up to date. We removed the Nimh battery pack from the RTR and lowered the price. Our site is current. We will offer a kit soon after the RTR is released. There are only two versions of the bike planned at this time.

The RTR will not include any option parts and the Kit will include some. The option parts included at this time are the disk brake set, alloy rear shock and alloy body posts.
