part #TRA4400
Traxxas Nitro Rustler Pro.15 to TRX 2.5 Upgrade Kit
PRICE: $22.49

All the necessary hardware to bring older Traxxas models up to full TRX 2.5 spec is included such as; header, pipe, pipe hanger, coupler, linkage, and additional components specific to each model. Major components come pre-assembled and pre-adjusted from the factory. Detailed instructions are included for each. TRX 2.5 Racing Engineâ„¢ (model TRA5207) sold separately.

get the upgrade kit to add a 2.5 as posted above. because the 3.3 takes the same linkage and mount.

Really, you can save the $23+shipping on the kit and buy just the throttle linkage for the 2.5 rustler. I cant imagine this would be more than $5. Use the rest of the money to buy a decent pipe for the engine. The black plastic pipe that comes in the 2.5/3.3 conversion kit is a piece of junk. I bought a TRX blue alum. pipe for $25 new, a header, and the carb. linkage and I was set. The kit sounds like the better deal, but IMO its not. You could probably find most of the parts seperately on the 'bay for a heck of a lot cheaper.

MIP cvd's are metal driveshafts that replace the plastic ones. A 3.3 will eat the plastic ones for dinner. I ran the same set of cvd's for 6 or 7 years. I would have replaced the plastic ones a dozen times or more in that time.

Will this MIP cvd's kit also work on the Nitro Sport Pro.15?

Ihave one Iwant to upgrade to the 2.5 engine in the futureand thought this kit would be a good addition if it will work on the Nitro Sport.

Thanks in advance

An OS 18 CV-RX(S) would be a direct bolt-in and would give you just as much power as the 2.5 would have. The Pro-15 is rotary carb side exhaust, so an 18 TM would require buying the 2.5/3.3 retrofit kit. The CVR would not.

So if i buy LRP Nitro Engine Z.18S Pro Spec.3. I would not need a conversion kit ( different engine mounts)?
Are these good engines?

I know i ask alot, but it would be stupid to buy something and not be able to use it.

If that LRP comes with a slide carb, you'd have to change the carb linkage if you currently have a pro .15. The .18 engines are smallblocks, so it should mount fine. Might I suggest a Dynamite .19T. This is a 2.5/3.3 direct replacement and is cheaper than the OS.

Dynamite 2 .19T $110:

OS .18TM $150:
