YEPPERS. matter of fact all of em are lighter that i have checked so far. I have digi scales for my other hobby lol.

They are all GPM parts, its a 12% alum alloy. Nice ****. gotta buy em from http://www.asiatees.com . There shipped in from hongkong and dude makes you sign for em to recieve. But its the only place i have found that carrys the Silver alum. There is another US sight that has the GPM purple alum parts but they charge alot more then tees. I will have to use them though for the gear box and differential boxes only original alum parts asia tees dont have. Ill just strip the purple of those like I did my chassis.

I broke up the asia tees purchase into 2, first one was bout 139 last one was 145ish. But I have every silver alum part they make plus the blue alum shocks they carry(nice shocks).

The gear box and diff boxes are gonna be a little over a hundred alone from the other site. BAH.

All in all I'll have close to 500 in this Fade to Silver project, If you include the OS egine Titanium turnbuckles, blue ball cups, and Blue alum servo saver.

f150dan is right.

I own a REVO myself and that Novarossi .12 will do nothing. If you wanna run you gotta get an O.S. 18 TZ

Thank you very much.

I'm gonna try the same set-up.

I can't wait to see my MT2 rip with my O.S. .18

Thanks again!

I hope to get a Revo in my collection soon. I just can't find any for the right price. I think the Revo is the best Monster truck out there for Bashing and racing. Thats just my opion so don't anyone get bent out of shape please.

I would like to have one too, but they are a pretty penny for one for sure. Does reversing the servo position on the pics you posted above help alot? I recently installed the ofna linkage kit on my truck and it works great and can't believe how long I put off getting it, just wandered how much reversing the servo helped on the angles.

yeah guest i'll let it ride out. i hear u about the torque issue, but i'll try it any way if not then the os 18 it is, what about the .15os is it much slower than an 18.i'm trying to stay legal incase i race else where.
my track is tight in dr, and stock 2wd buggy runs about 5sec slower than mod buggy in 5 minutes, so i was thinking horse power is not really an issue, just get it to handle, and as light as possible.
we have 2 classes of mt class one is open other is sportmans i'll be in the open class. 2wd stadium truck class is verry small and looks pretty boring with 3 to 4 cars and only half of them finish most of the time.

I was surprised you didn't have a REVO in your collection.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my MT2 and I'm not here to ruffle any feathers.

But I love my REVO. As bias as it may sound Joebaby35 it's and incredible monster truck. Unfortunately, I got my REVO before my MT2 and sometimes I expect too much from the MT2. I've had my REVO launch 15 ft. to 20 ft. in the air, do multiple back flips and land on all four tires.

Now enought talk about my REVO - back to the kick ass MT2's! [8D]

revo's are nice and verry popular and is probably an excellent basher but put them on the track and they look clumssy going around corners, and these are $1500 revo's with all the bells n whistle such as been lowered, closeratio gears, buggy wings, and after market big block and god knows what else is under the hood yet truckkies are having them for lunch
mt's on the otherhand has simmliar layout as a truckkies only smaller and lighter, is why i'm looking forward to building mine, no pund intended towards revo fans but u dont rule the open class.
i was looking at my nova12 last night and notice it has a rear exhaust any help on this delima[]

I tell you this I had my REVO before getting my MT2 and one thing I did notice is that there's no way a stock MT2 can fly and take a beating when bashing like a stock REVO.

In regards to your dilemna - check and see if Tower Hobbies has a rear header for your motor - I think there's something out there.

Oh !

I like this a lot. Wouldn't it cause the car to be heavier on one side though since the radio tray is not counterbalanced by the pipe any more ?

called them this morning. no problem with the header pipe getting in the way of the suspension, and it does balance out the weight on both sides. at least that's what he said. they should be getting them in this week.

That looks really kick a**.

Although, I think there's a potential problem with it. When bashing around with the MT2 the rear exhaust is liable to get hit and banged around.

I say that because on my REVO the rear bumper and exhaust gets hit alot from extreme jumping and bashing I do and at times the exhaust gets shifted around.

Please let me know how the exhausrt works out for you. Love to know - it looks really GOOD!!

Kewl dan, I just got my son a used MT1 of ebay, its gonna be for christmas. He is only 6, I'll drop my stock engine in it and let him learn with that. It was gonna be that or the ST 15 from Tower. I figured I already had Loads of parts for the MT so if he breaks something I can repair it on the spot rather then order parts from tower.

;-)

I think he is gonna be estatic on christmas morning. He loves his electric truck but wishes he had a gas truck fast enough to race me;-)

I figured he deserved the reward, he has been making it all the way around the track lately with his electric. Even with all those mean gas buggies, ST's and MT's passing/running him over lately.

Well, I've been messing around with the new 'pede lately. But I did install the 100cc racing fuel tank, rear A-arm brace, hinge pin set and the new body on my MT2. I'll get pics up tomorrow. I love the new body though. I had to order a bunch more stuff, but it was all to replace broken stuff from my hard bashing sessions

My next parts order will include HPI universal dogbones and the HPI threaded shocks, with maybe a couple more odds and ends. My plan after that is to order the Graphite upper deck and shock towers.

Well my MT1 is almost back together, I just took the diffs apart again for the fun of it to take a peak. According to HPI I have the HD diffs in now. WOOT!

One less purchase to make. hehe

I got the OS .18 CV-RX mounted. Picked up the engine mounts finally but my exhaust and header arent here yet. OMG. I just wanna fire up the OS.

I have had it for weeks now and still havent got to run it.

These OS engines are just sick. I got a VRZ-B .21 racing engine for my JamminX1CR and it's just as reliable as my CVR-X .18, it is a total beast just like the .18 except this one is totaly nuclear. Anyways, fo me, it's gonna be OS all the way for any cars I will buy in the future. I've seen fancy Collari and Nova Rossi installed on many cars but they all end up giving trouble in the end.

One thing to watch out for is snapping the center diff dogbone to the rear on the MT1 with the O.S. 18( happened to me ) i have that setup and OMG its got toooo much power and torque. I have screamed past other trucks and such on pavement that were W.O.T and i still had atleast 1/3 to 1/4 throttle left so you might end up having your son beat you or you might end up keep the truck for yourself

No you dont under stand.

I have an MT 1, all alum and OS .18 CV-RX.

I just got a second MT 1, stock plastic with a .18 hot bodies engine in it. Im gonna drop my stock .15 in it for him to learn how to drive though may sell the hotbodies, or keep it as a spare.

Well heres the new pics as promised. You can see some of the updates I've made to my truck. And you can also see my newest toy "The Pede". Its a beast I love it too. The only thing I've don't to it so far is lower the body about 3/4in. The stock pede body is set way to high for me. It had plenty of room underneath so I lowered. But its still higher then the chassis so it didn't hurt my ground clearance any. There's also a pic of my trashy RC work station.

Run the stock header and pipe until you get your new ones if its gonna be a while. I ported my stock header and I run it right now. At least that way you can already have the engine broken in when your new pipe and header get here. Then you can install them, lean the hell out of it and ripp up some terrain.

What gear combo are you running? You definately won't like the stock gearing. On a MT2 its 13/52 I'm not sure about the MT1 though. I like 12/47 in mine.

Hey guys, just got my MT2 .18SS kit last night, took it home and had to open the box. Man, this thing is just beautiful looking... it looks like it is going to be a very nice truck when done. I've got some add-ons already for it (mostly bling-bling) that I'm going to put on and a butt kickin' paint job will have to be done..

what do you guys think of that stock engine? is it pretty sweet or average?
