Yeah man, definetly good advice there...you'll break the plastic ones in the first 5 mins.

I just got this Ofna Picco Hyper .21 8-Port w/Pull Start Rear Exhaust engine for my MT2...sweet!

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXESC3&P=7

Do a little head work and some porting of the header and it should boost its compression ratio up and above its normal perameters a little to a bit more of a punch to it, but man, 8ports should be enough I think.

After going through major hassles to get the one I really wanted I just surrendered for this little beast.

Here are just a few to get you started...

http://www.asiatees.com/

http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/default.php?language=en

http://www.integy.com/

http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/new_shop2/index_akihabara.htm

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=6045003509

There are litteraly too many to list but I hope these ones helped. AsiaTees and RCMart a some of the main dealers I go through as they are reliable and trustworthy...Tower hobbies are also great of course.

your idle might be rev to high in which the clutch slightly engages on the bell

could be a weak spring that holds the clutches might be an idea to take off the CB and flex the clutches and see that they move the same amount if one is weak it will allow your clutch to move farther than the others

Just a sugestion, but you might want to start with replacing the plastic bushing with cealed bearings. I am not too sure where you can buy specific parts like that as most will make you buy the whole kit again. Bugger that I know, but I have no idea where you can get the other part from...sorry. Try doing a web search

Wow...I have just arrived in Nagaoka in a smaller prefecture in Japan...so strange to have poeple look at you as if your from another planet! I have just lost for the year my bashing buddies and I cant race here as there really is a non-existant realm of RC enthusiasts as far as I can tell...oh well, still have the freeride machine to bomb around the mountains with.

I took the new 2speed out for a test run with a new cog set up. Now that I have updated the motor to a more powerfull one with far more torque, I can now lower the gear ratio so that it can handle more speed. without the torque and power, the gear will not engage due to a lack of RPM the engine delivers. I got the Ofna Picco .21 8port engine with a turbo plug, finished the breakin and holy ****...this thing really rips arse. I really cant assume what its top speed is and I dont want to type any bullcrap either so I have no idea as to a guess...who can when your stationary and a small little blip screams past you like brittney spears on serious LSD attempting to sound sexy while pounding out a power ballad to the masses on a screech-a-phone...? Anyway, I have just recently got a vid so I cant try to get some footage when I have time, on the Bash your truck site for you guys to ponder at. Might try to get a speed reader but I really cant for the life of me justify such an amount of money for the ego of saying I can get this speed...pretty pricy things, or at least the ones that are worth while getting.

MastaDizasta, did a bit of a check for that item - even if I had a spare for you for free; but I came up with big nadda, zip, ziltch...zero...? One shop as I said B4 wanted me to buy a complete kit just to get at the small silver bolts you are after. But I do have some from a different kit that may fit...I will match them up and if they are all OK...you can have them bro.

Can someone please tell me how to get a damn piston sleeve out. I got the motor broken down, but I can't get the piston sleeve con rod out so the shaft is also stuck in because it has to come out the back. The engine manual is no help at all. I am an hour or so away from taking a dremel and sawing the con rod in half. I thought maybe the sleeve turns and locks in some how. Also I see some type of retainer clip or something I don't know how that would hold the sleeve in or how to get it off. Please help. Ohh and I'm not sure how to figure out gear ratio can anyone post formula. I have my order all ready to go on tower hobbies, I want to order a few spare spur gears. What a good set up to use. with the .18cv-rx. I want good low end without sacrificing too much top speed. Is the stock 52t ok or should I go with a 49 or 47. Also how strong are the steel gears. $50 seems like a lot to spend when I can replace plastics ones for $5 but if I'm gonna chew them up in possibly one day of bashing $50 might be a bargain.

Yep...you guessed it! 50$ is a bargain when you consider the amount of life you get out of them, and from what I hear about the 18cvrx...it will rip through them fairly fast, soic fanta the initial cost is worth the overall amount spent on plastic fantastic ones - but they are great for a basic setup.

Firstly you will have to slightly tweek your engine setup to acccount for the diff gear setup (not always the case) and secondly, I am guessing here but I dare say the .18cvrx torque output is not that great as its only an .18 really. Although its power output is very good. Therefore your choice of a single gear ratio - for a single speed setup; of 47 is not very good really as you will sacrifice MAJOR take ability with that engine. so I would go for around 52 - 49. 47 will work well but its not a great gear ratio for offf road use really and you will have slow take offs and the off road scene is not really well suited to slow take offs and long speed - unless you have a big long wide dirt area to bash in.

Well gear ratio is a biggy. Your tyre size effects your speed dramatically and it also effects the engines ability to cope and put out more torque as the engine has to work harder to put the peddle to the metal so to speak. If you are using the standard size, ergo the dirt boze etc, should be OK. But I was not too sure if you are using a 2speed or not...? If you are using a 2 speed then your choice of 47 is ok and will work well as a second gear but perhaps not the best for that motor (?). Your 2 speeds for that engine or ones that are a good start to use (you should experiment with the cheaper plastic ones first and when you have a good combo then get the steel ones) would be with the 52T S/G as your primary 1st gear followed by a 47T S/G as your 2nd gear although you may wish to choose one slightly higher as I am not too sure about the torque output from the .18cvrx.

On mine at the moment I have a 49T S/G primary 1st and 47T S/G secondary gear but my set-up is completely different from your though and I have a diff engine lol. So my engine pumps out more torque and therefore I can lower the gear ratio more as the rpm output will change the gear after tweeking the clutch for 2nd.

But experiment though lol...its fun aswell to see what it will do as I am not too sure myself as I do not have that engine. Hope it helped.

Alum gear box you can get from AsiaTees or RCMart.

Alum/CF brace you can get from Integy, wolfpack radicals, ebay, I even think Tower Hobbies may have one...try doing a web search though, it may help.
