I all so have a Savage and if his is in stock form you will not have a problem out handling him. Mine I have set up for racing and handles quite well. You where talking about problems with your brakes. What brake disc do you have? All so what engine are you running and is your MT2 the RTR? I run 30 weight oil in my MT. Please to not take this wrong as I want to help but your post are real hard to read and understand.

As far as cleaning mine are not spotless as I seen now need as I am just going to get them nasty again but I do clean mine at the end of every day I run. I enclosed a link below on what I use and it works very well. I mist it with Wildcat X-treme cleaner and blow it off with compressed air. When I have to work on it I clean the area real well while apart. Here is what I use.

On the brakes a good receiver hump pack will help as well as this disc is the one I use on both my Rush and MT.

I do not know why they have it listed as fiberglass as I do not think it is fiberglass, fiber yes. They do make a fiberglass disc but in 5 years I have had very good luck with the one I have listed.
I have heard a lot of Savage X people not having very good brakes on there’s. I have dual disc on my Savage.
In a straight line you are going to have trouble out running the Savage if you are running the stock .15 in your MT but you should have no problem out handling him if he has a stock Savage. Keep in mind the Savage has a 2 speed.

I have a few old pictures of my MT in my gallery but will try to post some new ones later. I only have a OS .15 CV-RX but a much better engine then the HPI T-15 from what I hear. Never ran the T-15 so I cannot say from running one.

I never have run Blue Thunder but have talked to people that have. May I suggest you try some O’Donnell Race blend. I do believe you will see a drop in temperatures by at least 20 degrees or more. I have talked to others that said their engines run much cooler on O’Donnell then many other brands. Not saying there are not other good brands just when I find something that works I stick to it. I have about 5 or so gallons of O’Donnell on my OS .15 CV-RX and it still runs great. Never got over about 260 degrees. Normal temperatures here during the summer are 95 to 100 degrees. Would like to know how it works with the.18SS.

Not real good with words but here you go. Take everything you can off the opposite side from the spring that you can get off. Cup, bearing and so on. Then push the shaft throw and remove the pin for the aluminum plate part number 86130. Then pull the shaft out the side the adjustment nut goes on.
Hope you understand and this helps! Keep me posted and good luck.

If I am not mistaken you said your truck is fairly new? Engines all ways run cooler when they are broke in well. They all look nice. I never do fancy paint jobs, as my bodies do not last long. I have all ways said I might do one body for show but never have yet. Any pipe is better then the plastic composite pipes. My Spektrum radio got here today. Not sure if I will install it before the race Friday as I do not want any problems and right not my MX-3S is set up and working well on my MT I am having problems with it on my Savage but I will not be racing it Friday. Keep us posted on how things go and thanks for the pictures.

I know they look so good new and do not take long to knock the new off. But what good would they be to keep them looking new. How long have you had yours and how much fuel have you run it?
Nice paint jobs.
