the manual to the motor would tell you the exact amount. I would say the factory setting is usually 2 1/2 - 3 turns out.

The high speed needle effects the fuel put into the engine between mid - full throttle.

The low speed needle effect idle - mid throttle.

The idle stop screw (black screw) controls the opening of the carb at idle.

how much faster does the os .18 cv-rx make the mt2 with the .15? do i need the short shaft or the standard shaft? do i need anything else to make it work? besides motor mounts. thanks

no the dirt track is in the process of being built (thats why im not on here much any more) but the tracks i goto in dallas i can keep up on dirt usualy i pas in the turns pretty easy (yes i am considered a decent driver im sponserd by Rose City Racers and Wings And Wheels (ironic because i work at hobby town)
but are local races are all on roaod at the time
so i have a LOT of difficulty keeping up off the line and out of turns
i put the 2.5 inn it becuse i truely HATE traxxas engines
terrible porting this one just needs to be finished off

ok guys u need to help me out... i just got fuel and tried starting my car.. i got it started and it wont even stay at idol it revs and shuts off.. is it too lean??

o yea and 46u... u know tha small black screw under the airfilter to the right. do u know what the factory setting is for that?? i cant find it in the manual

the idle needle does not have a factory setting. there should be a 1mm gap when you look down the air intake (carb). and when you apply the brakes the gap should not close up. is it cold were you are? if so starting will be hard. are you letting the engine idle for 2mins before running? nitro engines only work best when they are up to running temps. read your manual and set the LSN & HSN to factory. check your idle needle, make sure there is a 1mm gap. and when you apply the brakes make sure this gap does not close up. if it does you will need to screw the needle in clockwise a touch so the gap does not close (dont forget to put the airfilter back on). make sure your glow plug ignitor is fully charged, prime the engine untill you see fuel go into the carb. hold the glow plug ignitor on the glow plug for 5-10secs and then do quick sharp pulls on the pull start. then let the engine idle for 2mins. do a couple of laps. and then start tuning your engine. look for plenty of blue smoke at top end. good luck

((check your fuel line. you sometimes get yellow/orange gunk in the line near the carb. if there is just squeeze it out. remember to burn out all of the fuel when you have finished running for the day & to use some after-run oil.))

crohbober, what engine do you have again?

Here is something for the T15 to look at it. If you aren't running the T15 then pay no attention to this link.

Well today my run of bad luck with the MT2 continued. Today was the first day I've had to get the car up and running since it broke over two weeks ago, so it started fine and went okay (it was quite slow for some reason...think the engine was running too rich). Before I could make any adjustments I brought the car back to where I was stood and noticed that the cone washer had come off the CB, and the bearing and screw with it too.

I prepared the car last night with thread lock so I don't know what happened. I have just ordered some more bearings as I only bought the two that I required.

Yeah, that was my initial thought. I'm lucky I was keeping an eye on it all. I'd bought engine mounts and was checking that the mesh was okay between the CB and the spur gear. I think it was a little off, so I'm going to have to adjust that.

Do you guys apply thread lock a few hours before? How long does it take to dry?
