crank cases are pretty strong but can and have known to snap from over rcs crashing in to them, and landing on the heat-sink at high speed or high impact. and i dont think the kid in the video should own a rc if he is going to kick it about. what was he expecting when he was not pulsen the throttle to keep it level while the savage had "air time".

djheptic hows ur car runing with that new engine and what differnces did it make from the 15 to a 18 ? upgrade .i had mine out to day in a corn feild and snaped the clutch bell then my day was over _ _

my car is running great with the new power plant. the main differences it has made are the low end punch and top end speed of course, i have not had over-heating problems and random stalling. and i have not had to tune it since christmas (when i got the engine). it took me around 5-10minutes to tune to best performance.

dont know if you've seen the videos of it running...

[link=http://s135.photobucket.com/albums/q130/djheptic/?action=view&current=MT2.flv]Playing Field Run[/link]

i will be making a high quality video very soon. just need to wait for the bad weather to clear and grass to dry up plus i need to get some batteries for my camera.

That’s the worst I have seen and I am sure it is from landing hard on the head. Have heard of many cracking cases. Keep in mind a Savage is around 12 pounds with out batteries or fuel. This is why on the X the have the engine protector now. I have one on my Savage 4.6SS.

that pipe will only fit 1/8th scale trucks like the savage. and will be hard to fit on to the mt2 which is a 1/10th scale

that pipe is probably tuned for big block engines and i would suspect that if you tried to run it on a small block you mite lose compression, you would be better off gettin a pipe tuned for a small block and even beeter if you got a pipe specifically tuned for the 18cv-r

thats the thing it can be made shorter and is made for .18 and .21and ive already got a plan to fit it
the cool thing about it is that u can choose between high torque wif great fuel economy or high speed (4 settings)

Question: The Savage crash in that video was pretty bad. How come the chassis just snapped? Is the Savage chassis made of plastic or something?

I agree with the others that is a big block pipe and I am not crazy about that brand or a pipe with dual stingers. No I am around just been real busy working on my 1 to 1 car getting ready to go around Georgia to other tracks to race. I have not been on a track in 3 months and I sure do miss it.

I drove 50 miles today to go to a track to practice and wouldn’t you know it with the luck I have the track was all tore up where they are making chances and maintenance. So I call a guy at another track a little farther away and they are doing the same thing. If I do not get back to racing soon I do not know what I will do.

I have never had a problem with my Savage chassis and did not see the video but I do no if you make an absurd jump and do not land correctly it can be bad. But this is true with all vehicles. If any one needs to get in touch with me or has a question you can all ways PM me and I will get back with you.

I just looked at the Savage video and it looked like to me there where not any screws holding the back section on. It was not the chassis that broke either the idiot did not notice the screws where missing or it was staged!!!!!!!!
