dang, all that wet mud getting on your engine is going to disfugure the sleeve and piston and will eventually ruin your engine

hey guys
speaking of air leaks.
this weekend i ran my mt 2 for the first time in like a month.
its been to cold to run.
anyway. i saw my primerless tank leaking from the o ring cap. the o ring broke off.
i tried to get a new o ring from my LHS and he doesn`t stock them. there is no hpi part number for them.
only a new tank. i used a black o ring i had at home but it doesn`t seal that good.
does tower sell just those o rings??? i don`t want to replace the whole tank just for an o ring.

Dear All,
many thanks for your replys I have now got my car started and I have a had a wicked day in the woods today with some super high jumps.
One problem at some point today I noticed a slight reduction in power to the rear wheel this became more pronounced throughout the day so I strupped the rear diff tonight to find the metal gears had been torn appart, I will try and get hold of replacemtns tommorow but what would be the cause of this and how to prevent it happening again?

Straight after the engine stalls check the fuel line, see if you can spot small air bubbles in the fuel line, if there is that means it is the primer on your tank leaking. Allow air in to the fuel line will cause the engine to lean out which, in theory will cause it to over-heat and stall. I would not dismantle the engine unless you are 100% sure you know what your doing. I would start with the basics first like fitting a primerless 100cc tank first, this could sort your problems out. If this fails then i would seal the engine head gasket with gasket sealent. If your looking to upgrade parts on your car firstly i would suggest you get a FAILSAFE i would also get the gpm/edit steering knuckles as the plastic ones are very weak and cause you to loose screws. Another good investment would be a fuel filter & a high performance air filter.
EDIT:- Also check your MANIFOLD screws, The smallest ammount of play can cause problems.

Cheers DJ........will take your advise mate. Am sure it'll be sorted soon

you can send the stock c.b to hpi, they put it down as a manufacture fault and send you a new one.
I agree with murawskiallen, get a HD Vented race clutch bell

Cheers lads, i have bought a hardended steel vented one off ebay. I'll not bother sending the old one back to HPI they'll just send the same stock part like they did on the diffs when they went!
