When I got into this hobby I had no kids and plenty of spare cash to maintain and upgrade 3 trucks. Now I'm engaged and helping care for 3 children so money is definitely a lot less for my trucks than it was but I'm not getting rid of anything. I just bought some new stuff for my MT2 and I'm thinking I might be able to get the Hellfire around tax time. Granted I don't have the money I'd like to have for them or run them as much as I'd like to but I can't part with them. Actually I don't think my fiance's son would let me anyways. Just have to wait a bit longer for upgrades and repairs for the most part.

DO NOT GET THE HELLFIRE! Sorry for yelling but if I where to get a truggy I sure would not get the Hellfire. Do not get me wrong as I am a HPI man as I own 4 of there vehicles but there are a LOT of better truggies out there. If I where to get a truggy I would get the Hyper ST Pro kit or if you have to have a RTR which I do not do I would get the Hyper ST RTR.

I know all about raising children as I raised 3 girls as a single parent. Now that my youngest is in here 3rd year of collage I am now taking care of my 80 year old mother.

For got but here is a link to the Hyper ST Pro. Ofna is the US importer for it. I have the Hyper 8 Pro buggy kit I race and is one incredible buggy and the best bang for the buck! The Hyper both buggy and truggy do VERY well racing over seas and the only reason they do not do better in the US is very little Pro support. Matter of fact at the 2007 Off road Meeting in Italy the Hyper ST Pro came in first and Adam Drake with the 8ight T came in third.

Little late now but when taking out set screws make sure you have a very good hex wrench that fits well and if you have loctite or thread lock on it put some heat to it. At this point about all you can do is trying to drill it out or try a screw extractor. I had one like this on my Savage and had to cut the cup in half then replace it.

haha that almost happened to me but i was able to get it out..be sure that when you drill it try to get a bit that is just big enough to get it out without destroying the threads but if you do it wrong you will have to get a new cup.

Good rule of thumb if you don't know Nitro, Never set your idle till your through doing your hsn tuning. Iv'e been screwing with it for what seems a hundred years and I still do it that way[&:]

Of coarse lowering the idle and leaning out the LSN very well could make it hard to start! Tuning can change day to day even hour to hour. Put every thing back to factory settings and start over. You all ways get the HSN correct first as it has some affect over the LSN then set the LSN. All so on a small block I would never run a cold or medium cold plug! Matter of fact on my big blocks with 30% fuel I run a hot plug! What engine are you running?

Yes the TZ is unreal but get ready to spend at least 3 times what a TZ cost on up dating the drive train on a RTR where it will handle the TZ. I am sorry to say but the T15 is one of the worst engines HPI ever made. Some are good and some just never run properly no matter what you do.

Fewer teeth give you more bottom end. Get the Race CB as it is vented and hardened.

If you have the stock poor T 15 get a OS 18 CV-RX or if you want to spend much money to up date the drive train get the OS 18 TZ.

I've installed my new 18 CV-RX but have not been able to start it up. It's pretty stiff which I think is normal for a new motor but it does turn over. I checked to make sure the carb needle adjustments are where they need to be and the fuel is going to carb. Glow plug is working. Any advise?

I'm using an HPI glow plug igniter, 25% nitro fuel, and a medium glow plug.

On new engines it is best to preheat the engine with a heat gun before starting as well as it will make the engine last longer. If you ever run a STS big block you cannot hardly turn over the engine on a 12-volt starter box do to the very tight pinch they have with out preheating it! I preheat all my new engines while break in to around 190 digress before starting.

Though my motor is tight it does turn over. I will try a brand new gallon of fuel because the fuel i'm using is kind of old. So maybe thats the solution.
