Thanks for the advice guys,

Went to put fuel in the carb and thought that I'd check the book again, it was builder error, I had put the fuel lines on the wrong way. I got my pipes crossed whilst building, not sure how but cured now.
Going to run the 2nd tank through next at idle but how long should I leave it to cool down, its had its first tank.

Cheers
Eric

I thought that, I've retired the job for tonight, will run another tank through in the morning followed by 3 tanks of slow driving.

Used RC vehicles bring half as much as you have in it if you are lucky! If you check on ebay you will see for the most part the MT does not bring a whole lot used.

So 46u is the Os18 Cv a better performing engine than the G3.0 engine? I have yet to experience one of those OS engine.

Why would you want to do that? The OS 18 TZ engine (almost a direct replacement for the factory engine) has enough power to destroy the truck on its own. Any more will be uncontrollable hence pointless?

Hey Everybody

Help Needed Finding Info.

Man has this thread been busy since the last time I was here! My last post was on about page 114. After a couple year break from the hobby I'm sitting here with a broken foot for the next 6 weeks and need something to kill the boredom with. So I figure I'll pick up where I left off on my Nitro MT converted to 18SS spec but with the Addition of a Nitro Star 25. I am looking for info posted on how folks modified the linkage for the slide card and brakes. I am sure I seen it on this forum but with so many posts here now I think it would be hard to find. Any help appreciated.

EDIT: I found what i was lookin for way back in the mid 80's pages. Tommorow will be diggin through my parts inventory for the stuff to finish this truck. Will post pics when complete.

Great to be back and into it again. Been neglecting my trucks too long.

TIA

Thats the same reason I got a 18ss kit although i've got 2 broken ankles, had electric bugys before but never anitro, perfect reason to have one now. Took it for a run in a car park the other night along with my bro's jato, I can't believe just how quick they are, its great, I'm hoping the grass field behind my dads pub will be dry at the weekend :-) ot is it possible to waterproof the electrics to run on damp grass?

Cheers

It sure is possible... couple ways are possible... 1st is to put the electronics in balloons and then mount then,,, 2nd is to use a product called plastic dip. Can be bought at most hardware stores. I'm sure there may be other alternatives but I have only come across them 2. I use the ballon on the reciever and platic dipped the servos. Works great.

Trouble is you get condensation inside the balloon and the receiver still gets wet. Plastic dip is a good idea, or seal the receiver inside the receiver box using plastic dip maybe?

Kellog, get a filter. It is a good idea now matter what size engine you have.

Now for the rest of you. I am going to be putting my new MT2 G3.0 on ebay tonight providing i get out of work in time. It has less than 1/2 a gallon in it. If you or know of some one looking for one i am setting the reserve for 230. I have pics and a vid just email me and i can get the info to you.

i am picking up a VW Jetta this weekend and it needs some engine work. I do not have all the $$ to cover it so i need to sell something to come up with the rest. My CEN MG16 will not bring in as much as the MT2 so......

it is on ebay now. Just search HPI MT2 G3.0 and you will find it.

Sorry to day the HPI Nitro Star 25 is a real turd and there are a lot better engines out there. Even the OS 18 TZ would be better and drops ring in. HPI makes a conversation kit to convert to slide carb and is under $5.
