ORIGINAL: MORE SPEED

Well, i finally got my ride back on the dirt, after 4 months of saving for parts to fix it after the throttle linkage popped off[:@] I took her out a few hours ago, and wheelies on command

MORE SPEED

BTW Slim, its on a 3 shoe clutch[:-]
get some videos of that man I wanna see that thing do wheelies!!!!
hehe, im only on the 6th tank of fuel in break in...[>:]
Dood if your only on your 6th tank and your pulling that kind of power I would say that your running a bit lean for breakin.

I wanna see an MT2 do wheelies.
I got the BB in but Im having trouble adjusting the shifting. I have the wolfpack radicals 2 speed setup in there. Its supposed to be a smoother more consistent shift but so far I havent noticed. Ill post some pictures tomorrow.

I hate 2 speeds for that reason man exept the thraxxas one seems to be alright but still not consistant sometimes it shifts really really late. I want to see some vids of these bb mt2's its going to be crazy. Not that there going to have alot more hp then my tz but they will have more torque and thats what I like.

That's why i have the jato wheels on my MT2 i do have a set of the Geolanders but they are wheelie city !!!! even when the car shift's to second the wheels lift and your forced two get out of the throttle ! but the truck is no fun with that much power unless you firm up the shocks. two speeds need to reach a certain rpm before they will shift traxxas cars are geared well to get it done with smaller motors but i don't think you could get a Mt2 to shift with a smallblock unless you use some large spurs on the tranny. 43/47 is what the 2 speed comes with and it's fine for the bigblock but 47/51 plus the gold colored pinions this combo may work with a good smallblock. I love having the 2 speed but i'm building a single speed small block mt2 so i can go off road with it, i want to know what you guy are so happy about oh ! i also need to find some dirt or gravel "school playground" hope i can post some pics by friday of the new but used MT.

Here is the HPI slide card linkage. It works fine on my rig with an 18 CVRX with slide carb.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCXF8&P=7

There are other hubs for camber? I thought there were only two different hubs for the toe setting??

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBTA2&P=7

Slim's using the standard servo horn, i want to know how he is doing this.

The way he is doing that is by using one of two parts on the HPI #85039 parts tree. He has part #2 of the tree which is the slide carb arm. The #4 part is the rotary carb arm. They Both use the same servo horn and round collar metal spring. Look at the parts on the next link:

http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/pa.../85039_02m.jpg

If you do not have the bottom horn and spring that is HPI part a396, see link:

http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/pa...6/a396_02m.jpg

To end the confusion I would go to the following link and download and read the manual -and I mean actually do it don't just read this and go on your way.

Step #40 on page 27 has the diagram and parts numbers. It shows the rotary carb set up. The NEXT page, page 28, step 42 shows the Slide carb set up. (it's a mystery where step 41 disappeared to).

Go to this link and download the manual for the MT2 18 SS. (don't go to another page and download the 18 SS+ manual because it is missing pages)

http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/10441/

direct link to manual PDF format:

I used the savage engine mount as well. I wouldnt go too big. You have to remember the MT2 wasnt designed to handle that much torque. Too big and you are going to be blowing things up. Also Im having trouble getting the body to fit with the BB. I dont want to hack it all up in case I go back to the SB. And I havent managed a wheelie yet with the BB in it.

Yeah the little plastic peace on the bottom of the shock that connects to the rear a-arm. Iv tryed eveything to keep it on and i keep stripping them when im bashing. Its only my rear driver side that it happens too.

What tire's are you using ? and one other thing that motor you are using my buddy has one on his Mt2 also it has the rpm's for speed but it lacks in hp. don't ditch the two speed yet ! when i was using my 4.6 .28 savy motor with the 43/47 combo my car wheelie at half throttle. with the lrp .28 it wheelied at 1/4 throttle. and not i'm using a kyosho .28 it wheelie's but i really have to hammer it. i'll try to put the youtube link up it's a few pages back

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9iGUumV6X0

i had a tank of gas that was in the car over two weeks but at 30 bucks a gallon i wasn't pouring it out but the next time i won't let it sit so long but the annaconda's was the only thing stopping me from pulling the tires so fast regaurdless i never took the engine over half throttle anyway i constantly worry about the cvd's while i ran this motor in it but watch the other two video's i have there with the kyohso motor no where close on speed but i'm not scared to speed run it now. with the lrp it's out of radio range so fast it cost MONEY !!!!
