RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread
Hi all, got the picco fitted and that, i need to get a better set-up for the linkage though im going to go with wht Slim has, thanks Slim for the pic (Y) Ive got a problem with the engine though, everytime its on for about a min it starts going on its own when you press the throttle, then doesn't go back in all the way then the carb starts getting stuck and really hard to move, someone said to me that its because the engines getting to hot and its making it get stuck ? what do you lot think ? any ideas on how tune it right aswell ?

Its the angle the rear wheels are at if you look straight at them. The 10 degree should give better handling on turns allowing more tire to contact the ground. If you do a search you can find a lot of articles on adjusting the camber

Here is the HPI slide card linkage. It works fine on my rig with an 18 CVRX with slide carb.

There are other hubs for camber? I thought there were only two different hubs for the toe setting??

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread
Well i was waiting for someone to figure it out ! he has a smallblock with the same "slide type" carb but a bigblock places the carb further forward. i'm sorry for not really seting it up completely because i even have to angle my carb ! my setup isn't the best because i just got it to the point where it works good, it took forever to build the car. i had zero knowledge of a mt2 before i built one halfway thru my build i got a very nice BB Mt2 with alot of work into it and i sold it because the one i built was brushless. i wil improve the linkage but i tried alot of stuff and this works so now i can build on a working system. Bigblock,Smallblock,SingleSpeed,Two Speed none are in the same position ! THE MT2 IS TOTALLY CUSTOM . the big carb is mostly to blame but you can use slims method you just have to tweek it a tad for bigblock. i can't remember how the one i had was but it did use the stock servo horn like slims. that just didn't work for me ! with the two speed because i had to get my motor even closer cause of the small onroad rs4 gears.

yeah gbaby get that pic up asap I wanne see it. Slim has the slide carb servo horn for the mt2. You should be able to make that work with minor mods.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread

to put pictures up you have to click on post reply on the bottom of the thread before the fast reply box. then it will give you an option to upload photos
Here is the pivot linkage the revo has http://www.traxxas.com/products/nitr...ttle-crank.jpg

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread
you need that spring and coller on the throttle linkage to take the pressure off the carb when you aply brakes. Go to the page before this and make yours look just like the one that asystemerror made.

RE: Official HPI MT2 Thread
Na, its a thing that happens on them carbs i've been told, the slide expands at a different rate. Look in the monster turck thread and then into HPI and picco engines.
