There are only 3 things to make any engine run
1. AIR
2. FUEL
3. FIRE
after that there is nothing else. so trouble shoot your engine starting with one and so on. Also check how far out you high speed and low speed needles are set like said above. that is mostlikely your prob.

O.K so you have already checked that you have “Fireâ€, your priming for fuel, do you have compression in the engine? Is your air filter full or plugged restricting air intake? How old is your fuel? Can you hear the engine fire at all? To check the fuel you can plug in a glow plug and wet it with fuel, you’ll here it sizzle. One mistake I have found myself doing is plugging the exhaust port while trying to start. This obviously causes serious flooding.

Need more info. Is you Evader brand new? If not, how did you break it in and how much fuel have you ran through it? If it is brand new, set your hi-speed needle to 2 1/2 turns out from closed, make sure your glow plug is bright red (if not buy an O.S. A8 glow plug), if you've used your glow starter very much, replace the battery. Now prime your engine (usually takes around 3 pulls with your finger over the exhaust outlet), put your glow starter on, and pull briskly on the pull start. If you get nothing after 10 pulls, or so, open your trigger about half way and try again. If at any time it becomes very difficult to pull, take your glow plug out, turn your car upside down, and pull your starter about 6 time to remove excess fuel. Then put your glow plug back in and start pulling again. Forget the advise of loosing your glow plug, that will not help you start it.
Now if your engine is not brand new there are other possibilities, most likely lost compression. Read the posts in the "Official Nitro Evader thread"

I've had an evader, and lemme tell you, it wont start if your glow starter battery is not new (must be duracell Trust me!) or fully charged! also, use a dynamite glow plug, they work the best!

This is seriously strange. Have you replaced your glow plug? It can most likely be only two other things. Either you're not getting fuel to your engine due to a clogged line, contamination in your carb, or fuel filter (if you put one on); or there's a short in your glow plug igniter. If you have any friends in the hobby, try one of their glow plug igniters and if you know anyone with a starter box, try that as well. If none of these things work and you bought it at a local hobby shop, take it back to them. There are a bunch of other things to try, but since its new and with the HSN setting of 2 1/4, it should be starting.

Have you tried holding in 1/2 throttle, while yankin on the pull start? Mine would'nt start till I did that....
Just a thought. Good luck!
Btw. It takes practice to hold the remote 1/2 throttle while leaning on the rear shock tower....and Yankin the pull start with the other hand.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

what do you mean you see the gears turn?? the gears arent supposed to turn when you are pulling the pull start. maybe your clutch is on too tight.

yea thats what happened with my duratrax street force touring car. the preassembled clutch got tightened and the whole car rolled and it wouldnt start. i had to rebuild my clutch, which wasnt that hard.
