a higher percent nitro has less oil in it so yes it would mess up your motor, just stay with the 20%.

Not necessarily. The several brands of 30% helicopter fuel all have over 20% oil content; some high-viscosity, some low-viscosity. All will run in your car/truck engine just fine.

The "conventional wisdom" that aircraft fuel will ruin your engine is total nonsense.

I can't speak for the high-nitro car fuels, except to say that the one brand I tried was definitely on the low side in regards to oil content. I have been running "airplane fuel" in my trucks ever since (over three years now) with excellent results. This seems to offend some folks; but facts are facts...

The smaller engines .12-.18 are best suited for 20% nitro. Running 30% may pit your piston and you might start snapping con-rods. If you have some time do a search in RCU as well as other sites, and engine manufacturers sites and you'll see what I'm talking about.

unless your strictly racing stick with the 20%, the 30% makes it go boom quicker

Don't appologize to us... it is your engine

You can run 10-20%, but 20% nitro is the way to go. Engines run cooler on it too. Now its just the oil content that matters... stay around 12-16% synthetic blend and you are good to go.

you should never go down on the nitro percentage unless you rebuild your engine. usually higher nitro levels keep the engne cooler.

no its not ok unless you rebuilt your engine, it will run like crap if you switch to a lower percentage.

it maybe good but i wouldnt use it untill you rebuild the engine. buy more 30% and run it untill its time to be rebuilt, then use 20%. i hope you realize that you will lose power by decresing nitro percentage.
