Well This is my second gt I finish this project this week, and my bad luck is,.... I have problems with the clutch, it slip too much causing heat on the bell and then melted spur...so I will buy another MIP clutch may be will have better luck. Any of you guys have this problem when using Masher 2000?..... but anyway the time the clutch work well it's was a great amazing run with this tires.

PICTURE REMOVED

MT-12 rotary carb
15/66 gear
masher 2000
servo traxxas 2055 high torque
I just got my auction GT in the mail today.... I already have my EPIC .18/CVEC pipe pulled to run on it. Is the MIP going to hold up to this motor? Is it a POS that will wear out constantly? Does ANYBODY know how to run a NORMAL clutch on the RC10GT???

just get the 4 in 1 clutch man. ITs brainless. It will hold up just fine if you set it up (very easy) for the way your gonna be driving.
adjust for Motor and tire size in the gearing and slipper then the clutch. The RC10GT has a great reputation for a reason, like it or leave it. There is no "WONDER TRUCK" . Any truck can be made in to a race winner; some are just easier to do it with. IT'S ALL DRIVER YOU HOSERS!

i dont really like th GT but all these guys making it sound like the best truck ever to newbs is really gettin' to me
HPIDUDE, the reason people say that is because Newbs like trucks that are easy to work on, easy to find parts for, CHEAP to fix, with tons of stuff to buy for it. It's so they dont buy some over-engineered, Under-performing, Peice of exspensive HPI Nonsense, that they will throw against the wall when they have to wait 2 weeks to get the muffler bearing gasket cover that they have already broken three times.

Well let me tell you about the bad points on the RC10gt I had to replace a lot of parts ($$$) due to upgrading (not Breakage), and still have a ways to go. As for the XXXnt parts seem to need to be replaced from breakage, And Im not really to impressed with the HPI MT2 its a lot of hype for a boring truck.

I've owned both and would definately get the XXX-NT, straight out of the box with the Drake kit you'll have almost every hop up needed to spank any GT. To bring the GT up to that level would take anywhere from an extra fifty to a hundred bucks over what the Drake costs. Plus the NT's rule at our local track, Only 2 ppl left at our track (out of about 25) are still running GT's due to the fact that the NT handles, jumps, and just flat out outperforms the GT. Hands down I'd get the XXX NT

and you being here only a month longer makes you so much more experienced! Sounds like someone is a bit hippocritical! You may want to take a look at dalosiman's profile to see his experience level before you put your foot in your mouth again~~~~~

Calling someone a noob, and using the word "remote" in the same post definately disqualifies you from having a opinion that matters. Get back on your band wagon fanboy.

First off, get a dictionary before you type back (too keep you from looking so foolish, a hippo is a very large mammal, now get your reference)... Second, anyone can put anything in their profile they choose.... Third, ICrash (whether you like him or not) has contributed a hell of alot more here... Fourth, who the hell are you? Do you think that someone here is better off for your having weighed in? Fifth, read what I said to him (you quoted), the same applies....

-EDIT-

YOU ARE BOTH THE SAME TOOLBAG. J.Williams and Jon Williams, although, as I said above, it is funny that your profile experience (that is up to only you to enter) varies so much from one account to another.... Why you went from 18 yrs exp. to 22 yrs., just in the creation of a second account.

I know 14 year-olds that would call you dork and wouldn't act so rediculous. You must be proud to be so mature at 38....

Loser.

I think the whole truck fight is pointless. Yes I own the XTM, I love it, but i only tell people if they ask if its good. I dont comment on other trucks because I never owned them. Who cares if one is faster or more durable as long as the owner is satisfied?

hey stanley, if i were you i'd think twice about saying that people dont car what I say, considering i have 603 more posts than you. Also you've only been here for two weeks.
Wow. You must hang around the Traxxas forums a lot. Just because you are a post all the time doesnt mean you know what the hell you are talking about.

Oh and if you want to talk post counts just give me a pm..

And yes, the RC10GT is an extremely durable truck. Ive managed to break a rear shock tower and a rear bulkhead. A little bit of graphite and rpm blue later it's all good [8D]
