The EPIC is SERIOUSLY strong... That MT2 would be badass... I have one right now in a GT, and it is hell on the MIP clutch... go see pix: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=2145552 You can run a real clutch with your MT2 though, so it won't be an issue. I ran the EPIC briefly in another ST with a 4-shoe setup, but a 3 shoe will be fine. I have heard people say that it is overrated HP wise, but I went from an engine rated at about half up to it, and it is easily twice as strong as the former. I get mad wheelies on pavement...

Hey Frost or anyone else for that matter.... how much of a decrease in runtimes would i get if i switched the motor in my GT from an old .12cv to something like the epic 18, fantom 15 or 18, or an os 18?

As to the decreased runtimes, it is only slight once the engine is broken in. When you are breaking it in at a rich setting it goes through a tank FAST.

How does the Epic rate against something like an HPI .18ss outlaw engine? Would it be worth getting the epic over the HPI?
Does it hold a tune ok ar do you have to fiddle with it to get it to run.
Oh and if any of the above are YES then where can i buy one?

I just put an epic .18 in my tmaxx, so far I have just finished break-in and started to tune it. This engine is very powerful and very fast. Its still a little rich on the LSN so i dont know about the torque. The engine is very easy to tune and always cranks up on the first or second pull.
