ok so my 4 day old nitro evader jusr refuses to run now. Earler today I would be able to start it but once i took the glow starter out it would stop, and when it was running it would spit out raw fuel. I leaned it out a little put fresh fuel in changed the glow plug (it glows) and changed fuel lines. Now after an hour or two lunch it will just start and then immedilty shut off. It ran on friday just fine with no problems. Please help me i really want to run my truck. Thanks in advance

Charge glow starter fully. Then start car and let idle. Ifit wants to shut off give alittle gas. The add more and more SLOWLY until the engine sounds real good.. Worked for my Rustler! An Raw fuel highly sounds like dead or even weak glow startedr. My ez start broke so glow plug lite but not enough. Spit raw fue.l New starter equal to recharging glow starter. Then egine not stay on. Did the above techniue. Now perfect.

Ok I have an evader. think I had a similar problem to yours. First check and make sure your car isnt running to lean. If it is it could be that. Also, when you start it up, leave the glow igniter of there for about 30-45 sec. That is what I did and my car is runnin fine

Check your idle... if you take the air filter off, you should see a 1-2mm gap in the carb with the throttle at neutral.
To reset your hsn and lsn to factory,
This comes direct from hobby services:
The initial settings for the carburetor of your DuraTrax .18 engine are easy to set.
First, close the high-speed needle valve and open it 2-1/4 turns out from closed. This is the initial setting, and is a rich setting. You will have to lean the engine from this point as you drive the car.
To set the idle mixture needle, which is the grey screw in the center of the throttle arm, inside the chrome barrel, you must be able to see into the carburetor. Remove the air cleaner from the carb so you can see what you are doing.
Open the throttle to the full-open position. Inside, you can see the idle needle and the fuel nozzle. Adjust the idle mixture screw until you have a gap of 2mm to 3mm between the needle and the nozzle when the carburetor is fully opened. You double-check this by looking at the head of the idle mixture screw. It should be sticking out of the chromed barrel by about 1/32". This is an initial setting, and is a bit rich.
When you start the car, you can leave the clip-on battery attached to the glow plug for some initial running. As you run the car, it will be a bit rough. Adjust the high-speed needle until it just stops running rough. You can then adjust the idle mixture needle and the carburetor throttle opening until you can have the car stopped, but with the engine running smoothly. If you release the brake or stop holding onto the car, it may tend to ease forwards, just like a full-size automobile with an automatic transmission. This tells you that you have the correct setting.
Now go out and enjoy running your R/C gas car with your DuraTrax engine!

try taking first out the fuel line to the carb. then take out the glow plug in the engine and start it for a while, if tons of fuel sperts out, then it was clogged up with fuel. that was the problem with my car.

I had the same problem when I first got my evader, I just left the glow ignitor in for about a minute and then took it out.
by the way ""Beemer man" if your name is talking about Bavarian Motor Works (BMW) it's spelled Bimmer. I know it doesn’t look right but my uncle has a 320 ci and he gets the official magazine and that’s how it spelled
